Hello Hish!

What happen in filesonic?last week sale unstable.

 

I knew something was up. There was no way ORON was getting that many legitimate votes. According to an alexa.com search FileSonic and depositfiles gets over 3 times the traffic that ORON does. If you look at the comments underneath the poll, a lot of people are also unhappy with ORON. What can we do about it? I have a few ideas

 

I visit pornbb fairly regularly and have been there a long time and I thought it odd that Oron was doing so well in the poll. When you actually look around alot of the threads, you DON"T see Oron used all that much so the number of votes they are getting does seem odd. I noticed the Oron banner has replaced the Filesonic banner...

Personally, i've found Oron very bad for downloading, one of the slowest out there. If Oron HAS taken control of pornbb and are forcing out other filehosters, I probably won't be going there as much. As FXXB mentioned its also odd that very few of the POSTS made in the poll thread support Oron. Filesonic gets more mention that Oron. But if pornbb also takes the tack of forcing people to transfer to an 'approved' filehost, I'm more inclined to just delete everything I have there. There are lots of boards around...

 

Quick question, what other forums are as big and popular as pornbb? Since pornbb seems to be the biggest will other forums follow suit? I don't think oron can buy up all the bigger forums for sure. What a joke!

 

I've seen many with Oron banners at the top which is cause for concern.

Now they are about to do the same thing to PornBB and probably some other big boards.

 

I guess it won't pay to post on pornbb at least until they make the decision on file hosts. It sounds like they will just delete all posts with unapproved file hosts anyway.

 

There will always be plenty of forums, maybe not as big, but they'll always be there. There is another forum that even looks a lot like pornbb but about half the size.
Oron wants to control things but I believe there are a lot of people who DON'T want to use Oron, especially for free downloading.
Oron took over the Forumphilia site allowing ONLY Oron, RS and MU hosters, but the site is not nearly as busy as it used to be.

And I believe the pornbb mod who made the earlier post has come out on pornbb as actively opposed. Check the last few pages of the poll thread as well as the general discussion forum. General feeling there amongst people paying attention is that its all rigged. Unfortunately, most people don't pay attention...


EDIT Hmm I just checked pornbb for a link to the posts. The thread has been locked and the posts of condemnation there and in other places have been deleted...

I think FS to FS rapid remote uploading is one of the prime reasons for decline of popularity among forum moderators, as FS to FS RU have promoted spamming to large extent in many forums.

Also password protected filesonic links are annoying both for premium members & free users.

 

is the search function in the maganer functioning , whatever i type it gets me no results

I've got a question for Hish.. I'm really wondering - how should I extend my premium account after it expires? I mean.. there is no option to extend it from the earnings I've got on my account, and the only way I can pay is through paypal - not fully supported in my country and which is the main reason why I use alertpay... any feedbacks please?

does anybody notice a drastic fall of the number of views pornbb threads get ? i wonder is it about the host oster use ?

i agree with that too. i protect all my files with a password because when after i publish my files, 5-6 people copies my files and publish hundreds of forum with my screenshots it's not to win-win, it's loose-loose. i loose (my sales and downloads down), FileSonic loose and FileSonic users loose...

and most forums annoying with that. Fileonic has very bad reputation with spammers. Some spammers copies everythin what they find and spread its everywhere...

 

my forum is also thinking of banning filesonic , though personally i think fs to fs shouldn't be banned

 

the more protect you put, the less money you earn. According to me google must be closed ((((
if people know how to use google, they do not care your passworded files, they will find another optional mirror.
while thinking you earn more money, you will loose more than you think.
