remote uploads are also pending for hours

I think filesonic should bring some storage space limit in order to provide quality service.

Guys, our network was undergoing an upgrade, and this is why some parts of our system were under maintenance.

Everything is back to normal now. If you encounter any issues, let me know.

PS: Remote & FTP are slightly slower because of overload, but your files should appear in File Manager if you give them a bit of time.

Yes i am shure the problem not my ISP then i try upload other Hoster and works fine with 150 - 200 kb/s

Webside also damn slow and many TIme i must fight with fuck Capter ( have premium acc) incredible weekend for me,...

I have a suggestion .. when some clicks on the referral link (http://www.filesonic.com/referral/XXXXX) the referral cookie (PHPSESSID) expires as soon as the browser is closed .. please change the expiry time to 2-3 days .. please ..

I'm a Mod over at pornBB (No, I'm not going to tell you which one) ,in addition to other things. Almost 90% of our spam posts (and banned members) come from two sources : ORON, and Filesonic.

In case you didn't know, this site is under new management as of last month (go check the WHOIS records), and our new Russian admin has been making several changes around there. None of them good.

On the off chance that the new ORON banner isn't a clue (I know - turn off Ad Block and No Script for a sec), suffice it to say that this filehost now has what in legalese is known as a 'material relationship' with pornBB.

This is old-fashioned Vertical Integration at its finest, people: Control the means of production, as well as the distribution, and you control the market.

ORON's been doing this for awhile now (buying up boards); it's just that our site becomes the Jewel In The Crown, as it were. And in case you didn't catch it the first time, ORON's been 'stuffing the ballet box':

(Yep, you read that right: there are now thirteen separate threads by ORON users in that continuity chain over at searchengines.ru, each with several hundred pages in them, that have been made since they started promoting ORON's affiliate program over there.)

Make no mistake: this is a well-planned, funded, orchestrated, concerted, and well-executed effort by those in charge to ensure that ORON makes the list. And then this 'Social Proof' is going to be used as 'evidence' for supporting the decision they had already decided and planned to make on this in advance.

Want to guess which pseudonym(s) over on that board our admin is using to assist in doing so?

And, it appears, the same people are doing it with at least one other filehost, so that their other direct competitors are not in the top 5.

...I won't tell you exactly which one, but I'll give you a hint: It starts with the letter D, ends with an S, and somewhere in the middle there may be the letters 'epositfile'.

Those two do not have nearly the same number of votes *by chance*.

You want proof, go follow the not-so-scarce trail of breadcrumbs about it left all over the Net.

Ever play Bocce Ball? How about Shuffleboard? Curling? What about playing 2-3 on a team?

As far as we can tell, DF (and perhaps others besides ORON) is also being used to 'knock the other balls out of the court'.

It doesn't matter if they win, as long as - by proxy - Filesonic and Fileserve lose. Which are *known* to be better filehosts than ORON by a long shot, by anyone doing legitimate voting - either uploaders *or* downloaders.

(Well, to be sure, Filesonic sucks too - just less than ORON). But Fileserve? No way.

Virtually *no one* over there (among uploaders) uses RS, MU, or DF any more - basically leaving HF and ORON at the top of that roost.

On a board now controlled and owned by ORON. Convenient, isn't it?

As long as you present people with The Illusion of Choice, enough people don't revolt that these types of things get 'passed' anyway - whether we want them to, or not.

Begin any task with the end in mind, and it becomes that much easier to execute on it.

And, unless others also know the context under which the decisions are made, these moves become that much harder to discern while they're occurring.

Our new admin has told us that 'everything's proceeding as it should', 'the people have voted', etc. No, the rest of the staff isn't happy about the answers they're being given. Especially about Fileserve not making that list.

And that YES, he will hold it to ONLY FIVE, after the vote is done. He's discussing with us whether to get rid of, lock/trash, or give some grace period to threads with the 'losing filehosts' as we speak.

Yes, that includes making people transfer all their old files to a new (approved) host to avoid getting trashed - or banned, possibly.

=> Ain't that just grand?

And - uh - we've caught him editing/deleting a few posts from anti-ORON folks in the poll thread, just to be sure. Interestingly, all the pro-ORON ones still seem to be there...

Even if the vote was behind in the end, we're sure they'd do what all authoritarian, autocratic, fascist regimes have done since time immemorial.

Just ask Egypt. And Iran.

You know: disqualify enough votes from 'multiple-account voters' from the competition so that his party wins anyway.

Hard to know what's true and what's not if they're making decisions based on 'knowledge only an admin would have', ain't it?

If you're not mad about this 'stacking of the deck' by now, you should be.

Now go do something about it. I'll let your creative selves determine exactly what that may be.
