Why Breeze, this may be the first time I've seen you lose your cool. Just to be sure I understand, you think his wife leaving him for another man is the cause of this beheading? Don't most people just get divorced? Maybe we should outlaw divorce to prevent such atrocities in the future! Sounds a bit like Sharia... doesn't it?

Trade myself? Others manage my account? What are you going on about now? I'm fascinated!

Personally, I don't take it as an affront to the Muslim community. Beheading is mentioned twice in the Qu'ran, neither in context of beheading your wife...

God revealed His will to the angels, saying: "I shall be with you. Give courage to the believers. I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers." (Sura 8, Verse 12)

"When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads." (Sura 47, Verse 4)

It isn't really a Muslim thing so much as it is an Islamist/Sharia/middle east cave dweller thing, where beheading is a legitimate punishment for anything from homosexuality to armed robbery to drug trafficking.

The fact this man's so called religion was mentioned, while the Virginia Tech Asian's was not should be obvious to anyone with the first clue as to what is going on around the world. Reading your article, I'm glad to see Muslims have decried the event, instead of crying foul like you.

And since you bring up a double standard, let me assure you that the activities of Warren Jeffs, Marshall Applewhite, David Koresh, and Jim Jones do bring shame to the entire Christian community. It is why most sane Christians don't spend time saying, "Don't blame Christianity", and instead focus on calling out the barbarism in their own community.
