Please contact the server administrator, XYZ and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.2.16 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at toptourismdestination (dot) com Port 80

Don't go with cheap or free hosting with a WordPress blog. Try BlueHost or HostGator. Either one will do just fine. Do not go with GoDaddy, their hosting for WordPress blogs is pissing me off -- and they know it, but won't own up to it.

If your current host has a money back guarantee, get it back and get new hosting. If they don't give it back, then chalk it up as experience and move on.

I am assuming that remark was aimed at me. I use or manage websites on BlueHost, GoDaddy, and 1&1. Out of the three BlueHost is just fine with WordPress installations and have had no problems with uptime at all.

With that said, you are going to get what you pay for. BlueHost is cheap, and you are going to get cheap.

I use BlueHost for Wp installs too. I know that i get what I've paid for and BlueHost's prices are quite good, no complains here. On the other hand, my page's load time is 7-8 seconds, had downtimes for hours. So I don't find BlueHost a perfect solution.

Slow loading could be your theme and how it is wired. This is not necessarily a hosting problem. If you test in a local environment, you will be able to debug your theme for slow points.

As for down time, this may not actually be your host either. It can be a connection in between your host and your ISP. There are services that can check your actual uptime from various IP locations to get a true test of your uptime.

For me and the location I am at, I had a problem once when getting thru to Yahoo during a storm. Was there server down? No. It was some point between my ISP and their server.

You just can't say a host is slow or has bad uptime without doing a little troubleshooting into the problem. It is a fact that BlueHost is a better than good solution for a WordPress installation as far as shared hosting is concerned. If you stack too many installations on the box, then you will have problems.

If you want blazing fast, then you need to pay for it. It is as simple as that. You can get that from BlueHost too.

Ronnie, I have no doubt You are more experienced person than I am in this questions, however I am acquainted with ways of testing server's uptime from various IP locations and how to trace connections.

I wouldn't also say anything without looking into the matter, disappointed to hear that from You.

I didn't say i want anything blazing fast for that price. I've just said that it's reasonable to consider some other variants of shared hosting in this price range, though it's my subjective sentiment)

Sorry for possible stylistic or grammar mistakes that can take place while our conversation, English is not my native language, otherwise my reply would be more detailed and extensive.

I apologize if I sounded crass. It is just the flood of one-line "go with X because they are the best" types of comments get to me. They post and leave without qualifying why it is best, or not best.

We are in agreement that BlueHost is not blazing fast and that cheap hosting is what it is. You get what you pay for.

And your grammar is fine! Much better than you may think.
