url rewrite problem

    I have a question related to site's url

    when ever click on any product on my site i go to http://www.abc.com/PRG-253/1st-line.htm

    But when i remove /1st-line.htm then left only http://www.abc.com/PRG-253 and it shows 404 - File or directory not found.
    is that okies for seo or i have to do something for that

    1st-line.htm is sub category of PRG-253. First define main category then go next step. And 404 is a problem in seo. remember it. Thanks.

    ya its ok... but u need to set redirection to some page via htaccess otherwise it'll be bad for site seo

    but when I open them, both fail?
