People are getting very confused here, but talking about the United States the most developed nation in the world obviously there are some poor people that are just getting by with 20,000 us dollars a year, enough to mantain an asian for a whole life, IM AGAINST POVERTY DONT GET ME WRONG, but giving poor people power its not good its a means from the rich to control the poor and keep them poor ( as slaves), who lets the nike factories in indonesia and the philipenes exploit their citizens, think about it.

 

So ok, DEVELOPED nations contribute more FINANCIALLY to the UNO. but they also contribute WAY MORE THAN THEIR SHARE to the WORLD POLLUTION. You have no problems when in the roational system the western world gets the UNO GS position... but if it goes to someone else its a problem? It wouldnt be a UN if the developing nation were not a part of it. And you sound very ignorant from the way you speak.

Its not a HOUSE HOUSE game that they are playing. Learn more on the subject before you question why DEVELOPING nations should be made UNO GS, IF you just want the DEVELOPED nations to be the UNO GS, then let the only developed nations be a part of it... that should be roughly what 25% of the world population? and the REST 75% can form a body which would have more say.

You bloody think no corruption exists in DEVELOPED nations... and giving them such a clean chit??? Go through the history of the past 200 years and then come here and talk about why asians or developing nations dont qualify.

UNO uses american money to screw americans???? can you quote your examples so that we can discuss them (cough**). UN doesn't take the money of USA, it takes from all member nations. Secondly, if USA pledges a Billion Dollars then its their WISH. No one asked them to pledge a BILLION. Personally I felt Shashi Tharoor was a better choice for UNO. But he was VETOED by USA as they prefered "Ban", who has served as South Korea's ambassador to US for a long time.

So USA thought they are close to the SK people, and this Ban guy is very close to us.. so its in our best interest. And even if Ban is a THIEF and was caught BRIBING nations for their SUPPORT to his GS plans. THE USA knew about it and turned a blind eye to it... why? haha I guess everyone knows.

This is nothing against the USA or the DEVELOPING nations. The world is the way it is... And diplomacy must be observed while dealing with one another. Thats the only way nations can co-exist,

So it doesnt matter if the GS is an AMERICAN an INDIAN or a CHINESE, as long as he is a respectable man (Who can get the job done with integrity).

It maybe corrupt but it's what we got. The US pays coz it knows UN works and makes a great forum to discuss and settle issues.

USA has squeezed a lot out of the UN, so dont say UN is screwing AMERICANS it isn't. The US is free to backout anytime it wants.

I dont know where he got the 25% from... but Warren Buffet gave a Billion dollars to UNO (This doesnt count as american money - he gave it as an individual not as an American). If you include that amount it might touch your 25%.
