free user limit can be changed in settings

 

Dear Valued Partners,

We’re pleased to announce one of the biggest changes since FileSonic’s launch!

There was an ongoing debate amongst online communities about whether we should allow free users to download files up to 1GB, or keep it at 400MB. We’ve listened to your feedback closely, and conducted analysis on our end to find the best set up to benefit all of our affiliates.

We have decided to give you, our partners, the ability to choose if you want to keep a limit of 400MB for free users, or raise that limit to 1GB. Simply go to your “Settings” page to increase the maximum allowable file size for free users. With this new feature, you will be able to share your large files with your family and friends without having to split them – if you chose to. We trust that this will make the FileSonic experience much a much better for one for all!

And finally, we’re extremely excited to announce an overall increase in our PPD payouts! Affiliates on PPD can now earn up to $35 per 1000 downloads!

True, but now people can upload 400-1GB for free users ... So it is an increase for that too!! (multiple IPs counted for free downloads!)

good news pay per download plans I suppose pay per download plan users were not sharing files larger than 400 mb previously.. so I guess filesonic was not getting much premium sales from pay per download user's files regarding 400 mb lmit.. now this limit is lifted.. for larger files and with limited speeds for free users, I guess premium sales will increase..

a good strategy.. with these circumtances, without affecting pps users, Filesonic and PPD users will earn more than before
