I've been using Commission Junction on my sports blog for almost a year now & haven't earned a dime from any of the links listed. Recently I started a student loan website. I intend to use Commission Junction on this site as well, as I've noticed a number of awesome affiliates. How do I go about earning more with Commission Junction? Obviously getting more traffic will help, but what else can I do?
Yes, traffic is equal to earnings. Just be consistent with what you are doing, sticking only to affiliates that you think will be beneficial to you..
CJ is no different than any other program. Actually, I like them better than most because they have such a wide range of merchants. If people can't do good in CJ they can't do good anywhere. There must be literally millions of niches to be found on CJ. You said "Obviously getting more traffic will help, but what else can I do?" This leads me to believe that you are getting some traffic, but no sales. The quality of your traffic is where the money is at. I don't care how many visitors you get, or what your traffic volume is. If I land on your site looking for golf balls and you are promoting golf shoes, you get nothing and I get nothing, and your traffic just does not count.. What does your site look like? Is it one of those that try to sell everything from CJ including the kitchen sink, or is it focused on one product? Does it look like a 2 year old put it up or does it look professional, very easy to navigate, and have what I expected to see if I go there? There are many many things to consider when putting up a site and marketing. There is no easy answer or a magic formula to use. It basically gets down to giving people what they want and need. And give it to them on the page they land on, or at least 2 clicks away.
It doesn't matter what product you promote - your job as an aff is to provide potential buyers with information to move them along in the buying process. A site that has reviews or breaks down product specs is more apt to get sales than a website with a bunch of links everywhere. It's all about the content. Oh, and yes traffic is important...but even more important is targeted traffic.
Traffic is not the only thing than you should be focus on. Where does the traffic come from, which country, is important also.
i m having 15 sites with me some are having domain age 12 yrs. Now i m planning to enter affliate business. Kindly suggest me CJ,Google or anything else? As i m confused because its my first time to do such thing. Thanks
I think adsense is the best. All other will require a sale while adsense needs click and impressions. So go for it.
