Why don't you try it and see the fake impressions on your adsense account?
    Search this on google:
    site:yoursite.com
Then click on the preview buttons. Each pageviews on the search result page will generate +1 page impression with zero ad click since they are fake visits or impressions. This means those impressions will decrease your ctr and cpm and your site will receive low priced ads. Got it?
The interesting point is that the search engine and the ad network belong to the same company, goooogle. They should disallow adsense bot to crawl their servers which make those pageviews. Otherwise these fake impressions can fool their adsense and adwords algorithms.

They don't read anything. Have you ever contacted them and got a reply?

There is one point as a publisher: I may allow adsense to display the ads only on my domains. But it is risky since I can always miss some of my sites to add to the list.
But the advertisers can do nothing unless they buy only google search ads or site targeted. I don't know how this exploit affects the CPM ads.

Did anyone test it and see the impressions on his adsense account?

I have just tried to contact them but I couldn't find a category on their help pages that is related to this problem. It is impossible for me to let them know this problem.

I think you are splitting hairs here. It's a 'problem' that affects all websites, if it is a problem at all and I think only people with really low traffic will notice the effect of this on the CTR.

No, only the people with google search traffic will notice the effect regardless of the traffic volume. Yahoo and Bing have no such a preview feature.
It looks like Google search simply takes screenshots of my pages. Analytics and adsense might report different number of pageviews as this is not a real human traffic.

Do a right-click on the preview, and check its properties.

The preview is an image, and comes from the Google cache. It is not a live feature.
Since the preview is not loaded from your site, you wont get an impression / pageview count.

Try it on your own sites then check your adsense reports after 20 minutes. I could make over 500 ad impressions in just a few minutes.
You have only assumptions. Just try then tell us what happened.

Nobody has to try something which has been already proved. But also nobody can disprove something by some untested wrong assumptions like "Since the preview is not loaded from your site, you wont get an impression / pageview count. ".

    How can that be explained?
When adsense ads are loaded, the google analytic code in the page will also be loaded.
That means adsense and analytics should show same stats.

Probably you activated the "on-the fly" instant preview?

    Read about it more here:
    http://sites.google.com/site/webmasterhelpforum/en/faq-instant-previews

This time blame it on google. Not me.

No blame :) Thanks for the link.
Yes, most probably you are right about the different reports at adsense and analytics.
I just meant that I didn't verify the impressions on analytics. Theoretically, analytics must report the same impressions since it is a javascript code like adsense.
I just wanted to give a small possibility on that analytics might have an internal filter for those screenshot impressions as they are full of pure bot traffic.
