Hi there is a site of finance, If someone is employed for it's seo, at present his 2000 visitors per month, but its a challenge to his present seo, to increase its visitor 2000 to 10000 per month for 1 year. I want to know your suggestion , The following seo process or excluding these how much helps you to get traffic at the site: SMO=(how many visitors your site get from facebook , Twitter and other sites)? Article submission=? Forum posting=? Guest Blogging=? Classified Ads=? Blog posting=? Blog commenting=? and you can also suggest other Off page techniques with targeted visitors?
to get an increase in traffic that much I would try to use as many methods as you can. Since im guessing you would know SEO and how to do keyword research properly, I would personally suggest you make a list of terms you can easily rank for, and with decent traffic. Write an article for each one, use LSI as well as the phrase you want to rank for, then build backlinks to the articles. Afterwards post comments on related popular blogs. While doing that make a twitter attack and start building followers, again using your profile bio to get followers interested in the same area. Also try video marketing. No one really likes to do it but nearly everyone who hasn't been under a rock knows that its one of the most powerful(and pretty much free) ways to increase traffic. Rinse and repeat and you should hit that number pretty soon. B.Hunter
Those are very good tips B.Hunter. Video marketing is not only very powerful way to increase traffic and also the backlinks from video sharing sites are powerful enough to boost your rankings. Google loves videos.
Absolutely correct Mike. Also if going the video marketing route make it a must to set up a good channel. Comment on popular videos with useful content (related so it wont be considered spam) and say something with a shock factor to raise eyebrows. an example of this would be: Very informative video! Also to add to this and say to make this tip more useful I would.... Blah Blah blah for 2-3 lines But even this vid and the tip I gave is an old method. And the new methods work much better. Something like that and you'd be surprised at how many people out of curiosity would probably click to your channel if you sound like you know what you are talking about. Now if you know anything about SEO, you know there is no number set in stone, so it would be impossible for me to say. If you know how to do keyword research properly, the best I can say is take the local monthly traffic, and say 10% of that you're almost guaranteed if you rank top 5 for the phrase. Another 10% and you will have conversions. (Well mine is 10% at least) So an example is: 100 local monthly searches 10 actual visitors for ranking top 5 per month 1 sale per month Just follow that formula and you shouldn't be too far off.
I don't need to sale, We only needs visitors continuously(not only one month). But your answer is really superb but if i want to view here from different minds. in case of SMO not only for SEO.
Oh ok I understand. Well the same would apply minus the extra 10% per month. so in my example you would see an extra 10 visiters every month minimum if you ranked for one keyword's top 5.
With regards to adding videos to your site, it might be a good idea to create a transcript of the video. This will make the page more keyword rich and provide more keywords for google to index.
