Lately , I ve had many people looking for alternatives for CPAlead. It usually boils down to two major companies Leadbolt and Dollarade. I was asked which one was better and I had no proper answer .

To answer this question I decided to do a case study. I ran a gateway of leadbolt for 15.5 days and dollarade for the other 15.5 days of the month of January on one of my sites with same gateway skins and text.

The results were SHOCKING !!! Check them out here at

I noticed leadbolt's EPC dropped for me about a week ago. Things were going well with them too.... wonder what happened!

I always had issues with leadbolt's EPC .

Not only was it below the average but the revenue seemed to fluctuate a lot. I have 2 VERY good days followed with 8 not so great days. At the end of the day i make less.

    Thanks for the response.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing this!

Have you tried BlamAds or AdscendMedia, it will be great to see the test of them :)

I haven't tried blamads but will be doing it soon.

I have had experiences with adscend media but it wasn't really very pleasant. But i'll test them out in similar fashion.

What network do you want me to compare them against ?

In your blog post, you said something about owning a download site. I don't think either adscend or blamads allow that type of content.

    I made peanuts with CPALead.
Mind you, the content on my site is not exactly the best for this type of advertisement.

At least now I know that, if I am going to use this type of advertisement program, CPALead is definitely the one to use.

I see Dollarade has over 75% mobile offers. Sadly I don't think my content is geared towards mobile offers.

Moreover, I find people are wary of giving out their mobile numbers especially on gateway locks.

    Perhaps you've had better success.

i used lead bolt before and its has its highs and lows, it weirds cause you can see what the payouts are so you basically in the dark. i dont like that at all.

Well , people do fear giving out their mobile numbers on the internet and hence the conversion is pretty low. But the parameter to look for here is the EPC. You can use one of those high converting offers like " Are you fat ? " or " When will I die ? " and get conversion rate of around 15 % and EPC of around 0.07$- 0.08$ or you can run mobile offers and conversion rate of 2-3 % and EPC of over 0.20 $ .

No matter what , at the end of the day I make more running mobile offers then high converting offers on the same traffic. But I usually avoid mobile offers on my small sites with not much traffic.

Yes , they do have their pros and cons . But lately the cons have been dominating. Publishers must be given access to the offers and their payouts. I don't like that either.
