    Hi all,

Is there any easiness of optimizing .com domains than other domains like .in or .lk domains which are specific to some country or some purpose.!!!

I personally feel .com domains are easy to optimize than other domains but i'm not sure that !!, Anyone who has better idea ??

No. Any type of domains are easy to optimize and can be ranked equally.
But Personally I will prefer .com because it is a standard domain. Even if people know your business then they might try yourcomanyname.com (not yourcomanyname.net).

I agree. Even a .info site can get ranked as equally as any other type. tested and proven on multiple occassions.

The only difference is that .com sites are more trusted by visitors since most people use .info and cheap ones to spam. But I post good content on these and haven't had an issue in that area.

Yes .info will rank well also. .com,.org,.net are more trustworthy because a lot of spammers in the past used .info because of it's cheap availability. Just create good quality content and do some on page and off page optimization.

I think domain name is more important than extension.

Usually your top domain suffixes like .com, .org and .net are all pretty much treated the same. Certainly most of your .com names are taken up, thus leaving you with finding their .org or .net equivalent. I know a lot of SEO folks are pushing the whole importance of the DOMAIN name (stuffed with your keyword) in helping you achieve ranking... but thats one very small piece of the pie.

    Content/relevance and authoritative
    Backlinks/few but quality

is what will be important and lasting. It also helps to have an easy to remember and short URL that's for sure...

all the extensions of domains are equally ranks, their is not much difference between them, but users are get used to type .com rather than .in etc.. so .com will bring little extra returning visits then anything else, but country specific domains can rank better in their specific search localization results.

.com vs other TLD doesn't matter as far as optimization is concerned. They're really all equal. The different country specific domains can be used to help indicate which country you are targeting, but this can also be done with .com as well through Google Webmaster Tools.

When it comes to optimizing a site, the extension doesn't matter. If your looking to start branding a site, you may want to consider an extension that is commonly used like .com .net .biz

If you optimize your website on cuontry basis, chose related domain. For example if your product or service covers only uk, then select .co.uk, if only for brazil, chose .br. In normal I always prefer .com

If you're targeting local market, it's wiser to use a country-base domain extensions though the optimization is just the same as any other TLDs
