I wouldn't generalize that Islam is not tolerant.

Employees in those organizations aren't tolerent.

You won't see that sort of crap in other organizations with majority Malay muslims, e.g., PETRONAS, Sapura etc.

Islam in general is not tolerant of other religions. Of course, I keep trying to tell menji that setting up a Southern Baptist Church in mecca would go a long way show that islam is in fact tolerant, but wasn't too keen on the idea

Being an atheist I find that all religions are intolerent to varying degrees (with the exception to an eastern philoshophy like Buddhism).

I agree though there's more intolerence amongst muslims compared to some of the older near eastern religions. Probably a large percentage of muslims are stuck in a parochial mindset.

At some point in time, in a coupla centuries, I expect it'll got the way of the other Abrahamic offshoots.

 

Do not dream too soon about conquering Makkah. It will not happen in this lifetime, trust me.
