Try to make free SEO (forums, blogs, social media posting, articles, etc.) 4. Buy or exchange links. 5. Content. 6. Build satelite micro-sites. 7. Use automated software. 8. A little bit of everything.
Hi Uptrans I post content nearly every day on my two Blogs in the form of a money making tip. I then turn the Blog post into an Article and submit to Ezine Articles I then turn the Article into a Video and submit to YouTube and other video sharing sites. I then post the upload the video to it's own page, add an opt in form and share the URL on Facebook (profile and fan/like page) I also share the video itself on Facebook, I then add the content to a Squidoo lens I then add to or create a new Hub Page, I submit the content to many social network sites via OnlyWire I then share to many other sites via Pixelpipe.. I am planning all the seo tools and most of the time different tool works in different situation and niche. I have found forum posing, blog commenting and article submission as good source of promotion.
I don't use any PPC to start with. Social Media to start out to see if my site converts and how well. Only after proving the site will I move to PPC, and usually through FB.
With all the steps how much time do you spend doing this a day? I'm new to the whole online marketing online and am trying to get a picture of it all. Give me a headache

Article writing - Write and submit 5 articles a day to at least 10 directories Video marketing - Creat plain text videos and submit to all the major video sites Squidoo pages - Create squidoo pages with valuable content Blogs - Blog everyday Forum marketing - Help people in your niche and promote where allowed Social bookmarking - Self explanatory You can have backlinks coming from all those sources which will help with the SERPS. Do it all, and do it everyday!!
Really great post Keith, great to see someone sharing valuable information for a change! What sort of videos do you make? Is it you on camera or is it some text on a screen etc?
SEO is great AFTER you have tested which keywords actually bring you $ That's one of the big problems starting out blind with SEO - it takes a ton of work, time and effort before you know if it will deliver the $ you are looking for. Much better to pay a few $ to drive traffic of say 100 clicks to your landing / squeeze page / offer etc to see if it converts for you. If not you need to try something else before wasting time setting up your SEO I use Adwords PPC - but bid say only 20cents for a $2 keyword. Ends up taking a couple of weeks rather than a couple of hours for me to get 100 clicks for about $15 - but then I know if what I am doing is worth spending more time on using SEO

A little bit of everything. and also depends upon what niche you are talkin about.... marketing really depends upon industry, if your niche is music..the parameters would be different and if its news based that it would be completely differ.
