Impact of bookmark submission on google

Hi all,
If I regularly submit my blog to reddit/stumbleupon.reddit/digg , is there any positive/negative impact on google as search engine?

It will have an impact on your PR if the links are dofollow otherwise not

 

You can get positive impact by submitting to these sites if you have content worthy of submitting. If its good content, then it might get some buzz and in turn people may start linking to the article on your site

 

Nofollow is over with Google now, dofollow is important anymore ?

if you are submitting your blog to social networking sites then you will get good amount of traffic and backlink as well.

 

bookmarking a same link might not give that much advantage, but if different links for e.g. in a blog, you bookmark number of blog posts permalink, this might help. Nofollow or dofollow its a mix in your seo campaign and give somewhat traffic which all search engines like.

As per my experience it helps to increase traffic and if the sites in which you are posting is do follow sites then it will also give u back links which ultimately help to improve PR of your site....

 

Social bookmarking is also apart of link building campaign and has always a positive effect. Some time it gives good traffic also.

 

i know it is good to bookmark or to star like favorites your url's on social sites because on these big social sites, with high pr, high number of members and visitors, the crawlers are entering very often to see what's new

 

This will improve your ranking, but not much. Effect of bookmarking is very small. And you should not bookmark it 100 times each day, this will be unnatural for google. 1-5 bookmarks/day is enough. But you should get also different types of links - from articles, blogs, frontages etc to get top ranking.

 

If those links are dofollow then impact PR.

I do agree with above threads but not only the PR will increase if the content is pure and worthy the loyalty of the visitors may get improved, means they might visit again that gives you a positive impact ...

 

do follow sbm... could give you nice backlinks ... while no foollow sbm could give you nice traffic...

 

social bookmarking sites should be relevant to your topic or article that you are going to submit. many social bookmarking sites are the same with every topic but a few social bookmarking sites are different. they are about some specific topics. so be careful about submitting your topic to such sites. it could have a bad impact for you
