Hello, all affiliates! I was banned from Google AdWords abut I was able to get back. Now I'm thinking about my possibilities and offers that are safe to promote. I'll certainly not promote ClickBank or CPA offers because Google hates them! I promoted legit program but Google that it is "Unacceptable Business Practice-Inaccurate/Misleading claims"! And as you know negotiating with Google is pointless. Anyway, does anyone have experience with promoting affiliate offers on Google content network? I've read that Google is not as strict on content network as on search network. Can anybody confirm it? I don't want to run into trouble again. Thanks, good luck and let's make this year the best!
If the landing page follows all Adwords guidelines and policies, then it's "safe". Nothing to do with Clickbank although most landing pages of CB products I've seen don't follow the guidelines exactly for what you mention, inaccurate or misleading claims. Doesn't matter if you use the search or content network. If you promote a product that got you banned on the search network, it will get you banned on the content.
But how can you know what Google consider to be inaccurate or misleading claim? It is very subjective criterion. How Google measure this? I think it's not done by some bot but rather by real people, probably some bored stuff... And when somebody thinks "Oh, this product or service description is exaggerating" then he flags it and your account gets banned without any warning! It happened to a friend of mine. He was shutdown after first violation without any warning!
Not at all. You can usually spot them a mile away. Do you really think a claim of "lose 25 pounds without exercise in 5 days" is not misleading? Will using a system really make you the exact amount of $1382.35 each week? If it looks too good to be true, it likely is. I heard that somewhere once. There's also common sense involved. You can create some pretty sophisticated robots to look at certain things before validating by a human. Remember that Google has lots of smart software engineers and they've been doing it for years. I'm sure there's not one person making the decision. Probably a group of three or more and they take a vote. If can read a page and many times within seconds determine that it would not pass, I'm sure a small group of people can do the same and check many pages per hour. I think it depends on the type of violation. There are warnings. You are also expected to abide by the rules. It's like when driving. If you get stopped for going over the speed limit, there is no warning and get a ticket immediately. You are expected to know that you can't go over the limit and obey that rule. No excuses. There probably has never been a cop giving a warning and let someone go for speeding. There is no need for a warning, you know you broke the rule. But for more minor infractions, such as a non-working lamp, you get a warning. You are then expected to fix the problem. If you get caught later with the same infraction, the penalty will be a bit more severe. If you get caught again, you may get labeled as a problem and get into more trouble. Same with Adwords. They don't want bad apples in the system. I know many find this harsh but it's their system you're using. It's a privilege, not a right. Play nice and there won't be any problems.
