Hi, I am just about 4 days old on DP, and I already have my first infraction. I have been so excited for these past 4 days until now. I posted something about how to save oneself from cardiac arrest if there is nobody around--a very valuable piece of information that was sent to my Blackberry, and I was given an infraction for "plagiarism/copyright infringement". The person that released that information as it is wanted people to post it all over. And I did. But I was not rewarded with a thank you, instead it was with an infraction for "Plagiarism/Copyright Infringement". I went through (and even searched) for "Plagiarism/Copyright Infringement" on the FAQ/Rules segment on DP but could not find anything on that to guide me in the future. I really hate this infraction and I don't want to ever have any other one. Please tell me exactly what the heavens is "Plagiarism/Copyright infringement" on DP? Because my own definition of it does not justify the infraction I was given. Thanks. DP is still cool. I was just kidding about the fact that I was no longer excited here.
Hi digitalpoint, Wow, its been long you've been around here. Are you the owner of Digitalpoint Forums? If you are, then it is an honor to meet you sir. What about pictures (i.e copied links of images from other sites), are they still considered to be plagiarized?
Lol, he is the owner of the site If you didn't write the matter yourself its plagiarized and deserves an infraction
Think, there are already a lot of websites has valuable information posted. Now everybody will start copy + paste in a new thread saying very useful information. Already DP is heaven for spammers.
So all those posts in the BST section selling PLR or resale products that have copied and pasted the blurb from the original sales page supplied with the product are due an infraction? Will I get an infraction if I copy and past the part of your post I quoted? lets see: 'If you didn't write the matter yourself its plagiarized and deserves an infraction'
Yes, if you are selling something you didn't create/don't own, and you didn't even bother to write your own copy, it definitely should be deleted
Search up the actual definition on Wikipedia or something, then you'll see why you was infracted. While you was trying to help, you also broke rules in doing so.
