I have the very same websites that I owned in back 2008 .. then my ctr used to go btw 9-15%... bUT NOW IT IS REDUCED TO 1-3% or may sometimes slightly go higher.. All I ever did since then was add few more pages to my those very same websites.. Nothing extra domain / website was added ,,

what could be the main reasons behind it..?

Have you checked that all your adsense block still have your adsense id on them? I'm thinking that someone maybe hacked your site and replaced your adsense id by another one.

You simply have to look at your website, then right click on the page and choose view source. Then look in the html code for the adsense code, then you'll see an adsense publisher id on each of the blocks, see if it's still yours.

No, I have no other idea from about 10 to about 2, I don't know what could have made your CTR go down so low with exact same ad placement. Perhaps you get much more traffic than before, but this traffic is not as well targeted as the low traffic you had before. I don't know.

1 reason could be that people who are coming to your site have disabled javascript
    which results in low CTR
you are getting page impressions but no clicks
or public service ads are displaying on your site and no one wants to click on them

well if someone has disabled javascript in his browser that means he will not see any ads on your site or any other
impressions will be counted in that case
but if a person doesn't see any ads then it results it no clicks
    hence CTR will be low

Don't worry about people with javascript disabled, they won't show as ad impressions, so they are not going to lower you CTR. And this kind of users would exist mostly if you content is technical, so if it's about SEO you'll have more people browsing with adblock plus addons or javascript disabled.

Can you give here the url of the site on which you have a decrease in CTR, I'll visit it to see if there's obvious problem that you may not have spotted.

No, it won't count as ad impressions since the adsense javascript won't be launched at all.

As for the url, well if you don't want to share it I understand and obviously I don't care, it was just to have a look and help more maybe, but it's not my business I'm not losing anything here.

I can understand about the 2nd paragraph,,, but what more reasons could be...or is it that there is a still ctr% with above 9% on websites..is it alright as most people say that they can be counted as more and invalid.. so could that be the reason for my ctr to fall this much and as well as ecpm to go as low to 3-6 per 1000 impressions

Dude your signature is telling that you have 2 sites of PR 2 :)
its simply a joke that you are facing this type of problems in your older sites. i think you have enough experience and quality to solve it.
don't you work on that site? or just left it?is it happening suddenly. i haven't faced this problem. need to know about it.

U r right,, I know but not with adsense,,, I've stopped doing Seo on my old sites.. recently, the more I did the lesser my ctr and ecpm would go,, but impressions would definalty increase bcoz of the more seo work.. I am still not sure why this is happening ...?
