    Hello.

    Old topics about SERP was saying SERP is more important as PageRank. Now I like to know which way is better to make for keyword to reach first postion. Meybe backlink which you public in another web page need have similar or same content as keyword - your web site?

    Where need to be written this keyword in website when you public backlink?

    PR= Page rank. Its not the contributing factor to get your site rank will in SERP = Search Engine Rank Position.

    In a nutshell, to get your site rank well are both on and off page SEO. E.g the various tags, keywords, backlinks etc. No forgetting the competitiveness level of the keyword you are gunning at.

    I definitely agree with Am I Tinman. Don't be obsessed with PR just focus on the SERP by doing on page and off page seo.

    Really? I used to think, if you get backlinks from pages with good PR then Google would pay you more attention. Can you enunciate this?

    SEO is the way to get rankings

    SEO is
    On page : Title / metatags / content
    Off page : Build Backlinks

    Pr is just a number nothing more i don't even bother with it ...

    Yes on this note you are right. Getting backlinks from high PR sites will definitely help in your SERP.

    What I was responding is based on faca5 question on SERP VS PR. To add on, although backlinks from high PR sites will help, but in our link building effort, it should be as natural with a mixture of different PRs and links source that pointing back to different pages of you site at a decent velocity.

    PR of your webpage doesn't contribute in its ranking. PR of backlink pages is one of the factor of SERP.
