I just want to know your thoughts about the popularity of Google.

Do you think Google will always be on the #1 spot of the most popular websites all over the world? If not, how many years more do you think Google would maintain its popularity and remain on the #1 spot?

Not sure where you've been, but they're not first anymore. Facebook took the crown last week, even though Alexa hasn't updated their stats yet. FYI-This forum is meant to be read, not just posted on.

Facebook is popular social networking website but it cannot completely overshadow Google. A New search engine can come up anytime. It is a matter of speculation and nobody can say anything at the moment.

IMO Google is not in a slow decline as search engine, it will extend its core business and do a bit worse at every branch, and become a very broad company in the future.

It won't do a Yahoo! It's there to stay, but Google as we know it is changing day by day.

I find it hard to believe Google will not be the top website in future but if that's going to happen them I'm interested to see how.

Wow! Really? Sorry I am really overwhelmed by Google and I haven't realized that Facebook already took the #1 spot. But is it on US only? How about the international rankings?

For the search engine I'm not sure if Google can maintain its dominance or there somebody can surpass but for the site popularity Facebook already outdoes Google.

Don't think so, its like "Will the best soccer team stay the best" most of the time they won't. But ofcourse they will stay 1st for the coming years and if they change some things in the future they can stay on top.

I think they will be for a while. I think that somebody else will come out with a new better SE eventually. I don't use Google for searches or any of their other services just because of the way they dominate and try to control the internet and us. I wish somebody would give them some real competition so maybe they would be fair to us.

I have read some blogs about Facebook being the number one already last week. Is that true? However when I checked Alexa.com, Google remains on top and Facebook is trailing on the 2nd place. However, if you would look closely at the graph for the facebook popularity, it is really having a greater positive slope compared to Google's.

Larry Page as the new CEO? (Thanks to some guy who made me see the light on this one XD) We have yet to see what happens to Google, although I can fairly say that Google is now in deep shit.
