do downloads count as 1 IP per 24 hours or 1 IP per file?

 

I assume that you are not a complete newbie in this field because I also found you on WJ.

After registering start uploading some files like games, movies, tv shows, mp3, etc..
If you do not know where to post then use Megashare Help File in my signature which includes some good forums to get started.

Before posting in forums be sure you read their rules or else they may give you an immediate ban for mistake.

After posting check your downloads after some hours or one day and check how are you going. Just concentrate on Unique downloads and do not look at Bulk downloads because they do not count.

If you get more downloads for US, Europe then you will earn more.
The minimum payout is $20.

I always get confused with this thing.

The simple thing we need to know is that when a person downloads several of your files then you will get several downloads but when a person downloads just your 1 file several times then you will get only one download.

So if you want the answer then its 1 IP per file.

I hope I am correct here.

you are on right track but keep in mind that you should split huge files and not small one..

I think you too my comment wrong way...
Yes file sizes do not matter in Megahsare..
Even if you upload a 1 KB file, the downloads will still be counted..

What I meant was split huge files like movies, games, etc. and do not split files which are under 100 MB.
If you split the files which are less than 100 MB in two parts then you may receive less downloads for that file.

So split huge files if you want. But as most of the people say that if you give a single 1GB link then you get more downloads compared to others who split the same 1GB file in say 5 parts of 200 MB each. So you have to test yourself which one benefits you the most.

Again file sizes DO NOT matter in Megashare (Coolest Feature Ever).

the thing is, I'm packing several files (ebooks, mp3s, etc.) into one big pack instead of uploading them separately. I understand what you're saying though. If it's one file, people would rather download one link instead of downloading several and joining them together

again, all this wouldn't matter if it's 1 IP per 24 hours...which we still need confirmation

 

Right now the modes of payment is just Paypal but after the launch of v2 we will be adding more modes of payment.

I suggest to upload separately because if its 1 IP per 24 hrs then I wouldn't be uploading files in KBs and I know that many people are downloading my several files each day.

If you still need a confirmation then wait till Hitman replies.

I just keep in mind that when a person downloads several of your files each day then you will get several downloads each day but when a person downloads just your 1 file several times a day then you will get only one download that day.

Basically you need to tell Megashare to split any payments being made to you so each is under $500 and then you transfer the money from paypal into a bank account. Yes it seems you can't buy anything??? But that wont effect the money coming in, it will just mean getting paid maybe in instalments. You just need to make sure you have a bank account and can buy stuff without paypal! Not sure what paypal have against India??

 

Yes I read some news and articles on this and got that Paypal is circumnavigating the rules laid by Gov of India (RBI)...

Paypal do not want to follow the rules because if they follow they will come under a complete new set of rules and paypal will also be considered as a bank and they do not want that to happen because if they are considered as a bank in India then the biggest reason is that they will have to pay a good amount of interest to their Indian users...

I cannot even think that paypal will give interest to us because they always seem to get commission from almost everything...
Even the real exchange rate and the paypal exchange differs in India...

And what you said is right that I have to take money in installments and in future if I need to make any payment then I am looking for a Credit Card...
The main problem right now was renewing my domain which was to expire in Nov this year and now I have extended it to 2013 so this problem is solved till 2013 now...

And Paypal will never give a break to Indian users...

This is very simple, if a person download your single file more than once in 24 hours then you'll get only 1 download for that file but if he downloads your different files in 24 hours, you'll get unique download for all of them.

is it possible in V2 to make downloads private and not show up in the database? I've had experiences in the past where public files were reported more often for no reason

Can Megashare send me payment in parts after March 1, 2011 if I earn more than $500 per month because I won't be able to receive more than $499 in one transaction in future.

 

I don't think this is Paypal fault. They're just conforming to the new rules set by RBI which sucks that they have to implement the rules in the first place. I guess it'll be the same with other operator ie: Alertpay @ Moneybookers.

On another note, its been a month since I used Megashare exlusively (well maybe 3 weeks as I started around Jan 7th). I can't wait till I get this month payment and a little nervous to know how much I earned for Jan.

 

RBI has not blocked paypal, Paypal is blocking India.
RBI has not told that we cannot get $500+
Its paypal who don't want us to get $500+ because if we receive then they will have to report RBI about this which they don't want to do..
And that 7 day transfer is also implemented by Paypal because if we keep the money more than 7days of receipt then they will have to pay interest to us on that money which again they don't want to do..

And about payment how much uniques you got and how much expect to get..

 

Not trying to argue with you but then again its RBI again which Paypal doesn't have to deal with in other countries. You can't blame Paypal to not want to pay interest or whatever to its Indian users.

Not really sure how much uniques but I think its closed to 40k.

 

Forget about this..
It gives me a headache and I already have a headache when I got this notice..
But last and final answer I would say is that both are to be blamed..

Blaming RBI because they are trying to catch small fishes in Black Money and ignoring the big one's
Blaming Paypal because they do not want to follow the rules..

Just need an answer from Megashare that can they make payment in installments in future if I earn $500+
