They are worth something now - granted random bad letter combinations are only worth regfee or less reseller unless they mean something but all premium combinations those ONLY containing the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T are all registered and are fetching decent prices (at least $30) resale even though they aren't pronouncable - I've sold around 75 in the last month from $35-$100 each. Sky's the limit on good pronouncable combinations and dictionary words.. EDIT - am talking about .coms here I think a lot of people would disagree with you there...
Sold these in the last few weeks: CLTB.COM DGBO.COM DGIR.COM DGNR.COM DGPB.COM DLMO.COM DLND.COM DLOD.COM DNNR.COM DOIB.COM DPBE.COM DPBN.COM DPGB.COM DTBR.COM EDGB.COM EDNP.COM EDRR.COM EDTB.COM EGCB.COM EGDN.COM EGPB.COM EHTH.COM GBBE.COM GBDD.COM GPBP.COM GTNM.COM HPLR.COM HPRH.COM LBON.COM LDCP.COM LDND.COM LGPB.COM LPNM.COM MGTO.COM MLEB.COM MLNN.COM NLOD.COM NRRP.COM OENN.COM OENR.COM OMBP.COM ONLB.COM OOMD.COM OPBN.COM OPCP.COM PBNE.COM PBPO.COM PBRB.COM PBRD.COM PGNR.COM PLRD.COM PNRO.COM PTLN.COM RBEO.COM RLLO.COM RTNR.COM TGRB.COM AAMZ.COM BFEP.COM BMMB.COM DIIF.COM FHFF.COM FMNO.COM HIMT.COM LGLB.COM LLAF.COM NCUE.COM RMOP.COM TEOB.COM TGAE.COM XUBU.COM FHFF.COM So there is definitely a market for these types of domains - can only see demand growing as well.
It all depends on who is looking to buy it. As a general rule the prounouncable 4 letter .coms are more in demand, but if you have a 4 letter that isn't pronouncable but can be used by a company, you will probably get a great price for it.
I think we can call this webmaster speculation. What happens is webmasters are selling and buying these domains because they think one day it will be worth a lot of money so they invest on them now. I don’t think it will pay of though.
Muhahaaaaaa... I m jus so glad i own XNBB.com Its a really really old domain ( see archieve.org ) and on top it can be used for a bulletin board software.. something like phpbb.com me thinks its gr8 domain
It really should take 2-3 more years before 4L .com will be more or less valuable. And with IE7 coming IDN can change the situation and make it develop longer.
Only one I have worth mentioning is OOHJ.com like oj. The name right now is worth about $20.00 I would say. ( Thats the kind of offers im getting ) For a name like this waiting a few years will quadroople the value, as for a name like dkgj.com without nice acynom will not even tripple. It is not the same as the market how a szx.com ( random combo) is worth easy X,XXX Keep in mind the exponent to how many 4 letter combos can be made compared to the other exploding market of three letter. Just something to think about. Also if you cant get your hands on a LLL.com LLLL.com is the best names for developement right now. IMO of course.
Please give me LLL.com domains for reg fee, I'd be gald to take them off your hands. In fact, I'll be generous & give you $10 for each one
