How to get type in traffic ?

Hi. i have a domain name that I should be able to get type in traffic for.
But how to be the one that the browser go to when you type the name in the address bar ? How are the browser deciding where to send you ?

could you please clarify your question, it don't quite understand it.

 

you want browser to redirect on your website when someone type wrong url (or url that does not exists)?is that what you mean ?

 

I think he means when you are in google and type "design" in the browser bar without the .dot and it takes you to a website. That website is the first result which appears when searching in google, is the same thing than pressing the "feeling lucky" button in google toolbar.

That explains why earlier on today when I was testing a new blog I'm building, I entered "localhost/im blog" into my browser and got redirected to blog.taragana.com. I was totally confused!

Anyway..

There's another way to get type in traffic - register commonly mis-spelled or similar domain names, and have them redirect to your primary site.

 

Sounds interesting, exactly how do you do that ?

 

Really you just have to make sure you have an easy to remember domain name, good content, and clean site. If you build it they will come..... right?
