Go Daddy Tonight -- Do you recommend?

    Hi, All,

I'm interested in having a site built and received the following (not from someone on DP):

"I can build a website through GoDaddy's Website Tonight very fast. Businesses pay me to build the site, but instead of paying $5,000-10,000 to a regular web deisgn company they pay GoDaddy anywhere from $60-240 depending on how many pages they want. Then, they pay me to build it fast. If you look at my prices ttp://srqwebdesign.com/Pricing_SRQ_Webdesign.html you see I do not charge much. The Website Tonight program is easy and any business can maintain a site or add to their site without being completely confused with programming or HTML."

Has anyone used this service? I know there are two schools of thought as to GoDaddy, but would like some feedback.

    TIA

GoDaddy is probably very easy to use for the non-techy person, but if you understand HTML and know how to build a website, chances are you will have a lot of problems.

I spoke to one client once who used that program and she said it was a nightmare. She ran into a lot of problems and she lost more money because she valued her time.

2 schools of thought, your right about that,
    domain name registrar and commercials:eek:

there hosting is the pits, as Corey Bryant suggested, if your comfortable with doing it yourself, find a real host.

hosting and goddady are not synonomous:D

Well, I have a hosting plan at GD, quite complicated panel, but once you got an idea how it all works everything becomes clear. So I cannot say anything bad to GD hosting.

Ah. I use their Coldfusion model

If you are good at your own programming and getting incoming links, might as well set up a site yourself, rather than relying on GD.
