Hello, I have a site that is around 7 months old now.. It's a new site with completely unique content written by my staff.. however, traffic is really just stuck.. What I have tried: - social networking promotion - heavy on youtube - SEO services (4 months) - advertising random places - but not spammy! - adwords Now, that is all basically the perfect formula for what should work but it really didn't do anything for my site and I am still stuck with around 200-400 uniques/day and I need to get upto a minimum of 1,000-1,500/day. If you believe you can help making a gaming/tech news site get upto the minimal number I am asking (or better). then please PM me with your MSN or AIM as well as a ball park price and experience... would be greatly appreciated so we can get started. You can not expect 1000-2000 unique visitors per day in just 4 month of seo service specially when your domain is damn new. i think 400-500 unique visitors per day is standard.
not sure were you got 4 months from? Also, similar site nerdreactor.com .. open just 1 month before me and they are top 50,000 on alexa... 300-400 uniques/day is not "standard" not for tons of unique content built over 7 months with thousands of dollars going into various services.
I said 4 month f SEO service, not 4 month domain age. another point is, alexa doesn't reflect actualy traffic. one of my site has 2 lakh alexa rank but i gotonly 4-5 visitors per day and anther has 4 lakh alexa rank and i am getting 600-700 unique visitors per day.
i dont agree that alexa dont reflect Traffic situation. They are not accurate but u have a rough idea. Well if you are looking to get some traffic from search engine, then i will be glad to help you out.

I am aware Alexa isn't everything.. but i talked to an employee with them in november and they are getting 80,000 uniques/month at the time and only gotten more popular since then. I only pay via paypal but sometimes do it as mass payment to save on fees
Traffic takes time, if a person has a limited budget like us!!! Have you tried niche related advertising? advertise only in places who have gaming content try rss feeds, analyse competition and use their keywords, black hat methods like fake hits even reputable sites doing this, link exchange, add a marketing department all they will do is advertise & research using common and uncommon methods, the internet game is not fair so use all of your weapons or it's my friend "Game over"
Firstly, don't try adwords on a site that has adsense on it. It is arbitrage... you can get away with it if you are lucky but it is not worth risking your adsense account... Youtube, facebook, twitter and other social media is the key, but you still need to do it correctly. About the advertising on random places and taking those seo-serives... am not really sure if they still work, depends on what you did though... i might be guessing wrong. How much of those visitors are coming from search engines, what referral traffic you are getting and are they sustainable. Adwords traffic can be quick and targeted, but they will die as quickly as you stop the campaign, hence it is my least preferred traffic source. I don't think any mentor would like to give a success guarantee... however, what you are asking is still pretty much possible, though depends a lot on how much you are planning to spend.
