I understand that and yes I will have to re-upload to keep my and my site's reputation up and btw the old files are also getting lots of downloads...
You know I recently uploaded a file which was released in 1955 and I got around 400 downloads for that file...

But have the tech got the reason why it was deleted...
I mean was it a bug or something else..???

Teach has not informed yet about the reason of deletion. I'll inform you as soon as I get know.

We have informed tech about it and I am sure It would have been fixed by now.

It sounds like their may be a bug in the code that is supposed to just delete old inactive files. I'll ask tech to check this out.

Remove "inactive" from "old inactive files" because I checked and out of the files deleted very few files were inactive...
I mean it is deleting the files, no matter the files are active or inactive...

Hopefully this problem will be dealt with soon as I trust you guys...

Well I'm getting more downloads than ever and really fast speeds. I don't have many deletions. So no complaints here. Except I can't stand all the hassles with autoposting, but I suppose that for an autopost thread

 

I mentioned this old files deleted issue in my report and I am sure our tech team will deal with it.

Is there your any new files deleted as well?

The new files are ok..
Just 1 or 2 deletions which I know are DMCA removals..
So no problems in files right now...

 

is there going to be an official forum? I see there's threads in various other forums and it'll be easier for us to be all in one place

 

I will take this as a 50-50 chance because no one yet commented again about this thing though long before this discussion was there...

ok, I've been reading some of the posts in this thread and still can't find how many total unique downloads I have. All it shows is # of downloads per file which I'm assuming is bulk downloads. Do I even have an affiliate account? I registered back in September 2010 and left...only to come back this month and started using it. Is it possible my account was downgraded due to inactivity? I read that accounts that generate less than $20 a month are removed.

 

Like me, you must be using a premium account not affiliate. Therefore you can only see how many downloads you have per file which is considered as bulk downloads, not unique. To solve this problem, you have to sign up for an affiliate account to see the unique downloads. But I don't think that's worth it. Just keep uploading to the account you have now since they're going to roll out V2 pretty soon and bulk downloads will no longer be shown. We will have the same file manager, statistics etc. Basically they will merge affiliates and premium accounts into one. Well the only difference is you can download as much as you like without restriction for premium account - with reason of course.

Ultimately, it's up to you whether you want to wait or sign up for an affiliate account just to see the unique downloads. Hope that helps.

 

I originally signed up for an affiliate account and can't sign up again since it says the e-mail is already in use. I never bought a premium account so I'm thinking it got switched due to inactivity

 

That's a possibility but i doubt so. Well like i said, instead of signing up for a new account you can keep uploading to the same account and wait for V2 to roll out. They will standardize all the accounts. Alternatively, you may PM hitman to check for you what's your unique downloads.
