I suppose that depends on the domain name extension you are interested in. For one domain name extension one domain name registrar can be good - for another - another one. Etc.
agree with you! That's totally ture, so if you want to register .cn or .hk domain names you should go to some Chinese registrar. see my signature, is an example.
There are many cheap domain providers. You can search them on Google. In my opinion, www.freedomain.co.nr/cheap_web_hosting.php is a good choice.
Free domain name remains free and yours as long as domain name provider willing to give that for free to you
go with godaddy when u purchase lot of domains and u can apply some coupons. for 1-2 domains all registrars same
Over the years, the best value for .co .net and .org I have found is powerhoster: http://powerhoster.com/ presently $8.75 for a .com Others sometimes undercut them with an offer but then charge extra for renewals. Powerhoster are too expensive for other domains - such as .co.uk which I register with Telivo http://telivo.co.uk/ (cost a little more than 1&1 but they never cheat you!) That's the problem with GoDaddy. Their coupons can reduce the initial price but from year 2 onwards they cost more.
you can find godaddy.com discount coupons easily. especially at the start of the month they might have a special valentine offer aswell
Internetbs.net so far is the cheapest with its $7.49 offer. Take note that this price is not changing even after the first year and same price even with transfers! While in netfirms and 1and1 you'll be charged the normal price after the first year.
Go for Godaddy,Namecheap and Name.com which offers discount coupons are the cheapest Domain providers
I dislike GoDaddy for numerous reasons. But namecheap.com and namesilo.com both offer good prices (the best in my experience). namesilo.com offers better prices I think since their renewal rates are lower and their upfront rates are very low too. However, namecheap.com offers free email forwarding (which I do not use - but might be of interest to you if you don't have a mail server handy).
dont go for cheap, see what you are getting. some times it gets problematic when there is clause for transfer and so on, let me know if you need help i have account with direct i they r or
I think Godady is not the cheapest domain name registrar but they regularly provides coupon code that allows you to buy a domain with little money. If you want to get cheap domain, you can read my recent article about my "method" to do: http://starblogger.net/how-i-get-cheap-domain.html
