    I am confused with sitemap creation that which sitemap will be good for my website ?


    I am having website which is in wordpress & i want to create sitemap for my website but someone told me that for the static website HTML sitemap is better than XML sitemap.


    Plz help me .

    i would to tell you that xml sitemap used to search engine and html used to user. xml-sitemaps.com best tool to create sitemap. it provides four file html, xml, ror, txt also known urllist.txt. all sitemap should be on root.

    You should build both. But the XML one in my opinion is mandatory.
    HTML sitemap is used for both users and search engines but is difficult to create when you have large sites.

    You should use XML sitemap, for this you can use Google XML sitemap generator plugin.
    This plugin is easy to use and can done by automatic or manual way.

    there are two types site you have XML,HTML. XML is very useful for search engine aspecificaly and THML is both like user and seach engine

    In my mind ,I think both site maps are best for an SEO friendly website.Because HTML site map is for user and XML site map is for Crawler.

    Both HTML and XML site map are essential. As discussed above XML site map for Search engines and HTML for visitors. Both are helpful for a website.

    There's a difference between a (usually HTML) site map built to help humans navigate around your site, and an XML Sitemap built for search engines. Both of them are useful, and it's great to have both. A site map on your domain can also help search engines find your content (since crawlers can follow the links on the page). However, if you submit an HTML site map in place of a Sitemap, Webmaster Tools will report an error because an HTML page isn't one of our recognized Sitemap formats. Also, if you create an XML Sitemap, you'll be able to give us more information than you can with an HTML site map.

    Boths are similar for sitemap but XML is better then HTML because with the help of HTML it is difficult to handle the large site and XML easily handle all sites . Thus i prefer to the XML .:rolleyes:
