Maximum Allowed Ads

Is it correct that you're allowed to display only 3 ad units and 2 link units or am I mistaken?

I've seen some sites with 3 ad units and 2 link units though.

I know ad units won't display after 3 ad units, but it doesn't prevent the link unit code from executing.

What do you mean with "link unit" ? is it another kind of adsense?

You are allowed to place 3 normal ad units, 3 link units and 2 search boxes.

 

don't more than 3 block ads and 1 links

I've got 3 ad blocks per page and I think that is the max, with mixed ad styles.

 

right you can just 3 ads.

 

the op is correct but to receive better clickthrough rates and higher cost per click i recommend using 1 large rectangle ad and a text ad in your side bar.
