Will invalid CSS hurt SEO?

    I know that if a site is not valid XHTML it will hurt you in the SE's but will it hurt if the CSS is not valid?

    Valid XHTML or CSS has very little if any impact on SEO. Only if its so bad that its to the point of your page not working correctly then it can affect you.

    I dont think so it hurts SEO unless the markup code is improper in structure!

    I ranked on first page hundred of websites none were w3c valid ...

    not for seo much, if any little.

    however if you make the page xhtml valid then browser parser takes less time to display, which means it loads faster. google known to credit websites for speed now. but speed is not the only factor of course.
