The website is not illegal, think of it as Google. RipTune.org is a search engine which uses a custom coded crawler, which crawls the web looking for .mp3 extensions.

YOUR NOT BUYING THE CRAWLER YOUR BUYING THE FLASH SITE! (The crawler will never go down as I use it for my own personal "iTunes" and software)

When someone clicks download they are actually downloading from the link that the crawler finds rather then downloading from RipTune! Which in a form saves you money because not only do you not have to find a space for the 350,000 Songs! It also saves you in legal fee's because your not the one letting people download it from your site.. They're simply saving an mp3..

 

so IF for any reason the crawler goes down, the website it useless?

 

Incorrect, the crawler is running on 3 dedicated servers which allows it to collect & store tons of data (links) in a database so even if the crawlers were to go down, which they wouldn't as I'm not running them from a "home operation" then RipTune would still have access to the database containing over 350,000 Songs. So no, your website is still functional. If the crawlers go down I'll refund your money on the spot.

Very, very interested, but with a few questions.

1) Any revenue?
2) The crawler is owned by you? Any the dedicated servers that run the crawler are located on dedicated servers that you own?
3) Along with others I'm concerned about the entire site relying on a 3rdparty software. You're saying that if the crawler goes down (for any reason) and we can't get a hold of you we are out of luck?

So if I was unreachable your site would still be completely functional minus the ability to keep crawling for new songs. Although I cannot afford financially for the crawler to be down for even an hour.

Well looks like paid traffic ... Probably the reason why he is ignoring my multiple PMs and replies in the thread about referring stats. Most days seem to have less than 100 views then others shoot up to 3,000. Thanks , I'm out unless you can prove me wrong. Bad seller.
