What is the current link wheel recommend why to go ? would love any comment on this , i also notice a lot of people are starting to use something called link pyramid , is that consider better ?
Regular link wheel are supposly getting detected and discarded by search engines. Pyramid, is multi-tier link wheels with different social submissions to gain authority to your link wheel, thus passing authority to your money page. Hope that help.
I've not yet heard of a link pyramid, I suppose it is like a link wheel only multi-level? I've heard good and bad about Link Wheel. I've heard that Google hates these more than anything else and will ban your site quickly when discovered. However, I've heard a lot of people creating some good web 2.0 properties and using link wheel method to get good link juice. Never done it myself though. thanks seo.siraj
A link pyramid is just a number of web 2.0 site linking to your money site, with various types of other backlinks (bookmarks, profile links, blog commenting, etc) aimed at the web 2.0 sites. The difference between this and a traditional linkwheel is simply that the web 2.0s aren't linked to each other. One advantage of this is that it's more difficult for Google to detect any particular pattern to it.
I have used Link Wheels before and I got good traffic and backlinks from other websites because of it...
Reading the replies so far, it seems that most people interpret a link wheel as some sort of black / grey hat linking strategy - and this is one possibility. But a quick search on Google shows one simple wheel with lots of sites pointing to your target page: link wheel image from Google This example shows only a few of the many types of possible links. My view is that a link wheel need be nothing more than a variety of different ways of providing links to your site - making use of the 80 / 20 rule = 80% of your results come from 20% of activity. In other words if you use just one or two ways of creating links you quickly run into diminishing returns for your time and effort. Adding another link type can often produce a jump improvement in results with very little effort
The benefit of the original wheel shape is that link juice would flow around it and you'd get an unnatural boost. People started complaining that they weren't seeing benefit from them anymore. I have no idea if they're actually detecting them, but I proved they could using a really simple algorithm that returns almost no false positives. The pyramid is undetectable. Pyramids are mainly used to use link spam to rank new sites without getting sandboxed. You can't drop 50,000 links overnight to a brand new domain, but you can link 12 web 2.0 pages to your new domain and drop 50,000 links to the web 2.0 pages without running into any problems. There's no benefit to the structure itself though.
show me the proof that link wheel is not good for SEO and denied by google? have you try this technique? dont tell if you weren't try before dude.
I've had great results with link wheels, they are actually better than building just your ordinary backlinks, not only that, but it helps to get some of your links indexed faster.
Link wheels are easily detected patterns and most of them involved linking a bunch of low quality sites to another. Registering a wordpress, blogger and squidoo and a bunch of other pages to link them together. You are better off putting your time into creating content on your site that someone will want to link to naturally. Look at the image below. why take your time to create all of that and you still end up with a low quality link. Quoting from SEOMOZ It's a ton of work. At the end of the day, the same number of hours put into content marketing or social media would probably go a lot farther, and the results would have long-term impact. That impact builds on itself, so the same amount of time spent every month would eventually have a much stronger payoff
Hello......... Link wheel is a link building strategy using the power of web 2.0 properties linking together by means of an article, images, or streaming media or a combination of all. Because web 2.0 sites are quickly indexed by Google, and most of them are authority sites with page rank.
all you need to do is mix up the link types.. add some link wheels (open ones) and also some tiers linking (a lot of people call these link pyramids now).. I find both work good...
