Costa Rica would not be a nice place to live - IMO. Move to Hawaii or if you really hate America so much that you want a different country, move to Brisbane.
i hear you can buy a WWII bunker cheap in the uk, i mean if you're from the USA you need something strong huh?
The world is getting smarter, hatred against the US is primarily a part of the European media. The people however are smarter.
Since it sounds like what you are really trying to get away from is the US tax oppression, why not have your cake and eat it too. Find one of the tax haven countries that has not yet signed a banking/tax treaty with the US and do your business through an offshore corp (you know, the kind with full secrecy of business ownership) set up a business trust to funnel through and then recieve your income from an offshore account via your credit/debit card. As long as you set it up right the US gov will never find out (although they sure try hard) and you get the best of both worlds.
The IRS managed to force VISA and Mastercard to give them all of those credit/debit card records and they are now going through the list of them and contacting each taxpayer individually. You can use offshore corporations legally. Most people just weren't bothering to.
Exactly, because the corporation is a seperate entity, and the US government can't stop you from moving offshore. So this entity "moves" to say Monaco, and the government never sees another dime. We essentially have a tax system designed to weed out the middle class and by being progressive, prevent the poor from rising about their status. The irony of welfare, is subsidies create more of what you subsidize.
I would have to second Australia if there was any other place in the world I could live. The most attractive thing to me is the population. There are like 20 million people on the same land mass as the US.
I'm from New Zealand, and I have to admit, Australia does kick ass. Australia does have a better climate if you like the heat. How about Bermuda? Barbados? Or Chile, Uruguay or Argentina?
As for your Offshore Corporation I certainly wouldn't be telling the IRS about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controlled_Foreign_Company
Lol I'd say Australia is one of the places the UK is least like... Weather, history and geographical features. I'd say the only similarities are that most of them decend from here and have a southern-England sounding accent
When I lived in the Netherlands I would ocassionally drive up to Amsterdam and sit around drinking with friends while watching the British tourists cross the streets. They would look to their right and step into the road. Usually the Dutch would avoid hitting them. Then when I was in Australia, it was me who almost got flattened by looking left and stepping into the street. In London, traffic moves so slowly that you don't really have to look at all.
Sorry Will but I had to quote this incase Hon Daddy decides to rethink what he just said - It's not often you will get a kiwi to admit publicly that Australia is "kick ass".
See Sammy speaks out. 9 pages. Gets really interesting, what with death threats, Menj's usual contributions, and so forth. I would have opted for another tactic, but I fully support her in her opinions. Many do.
Im actually happy she got banned. She shouldn't talk that way about any religion... Anyways, I'd stick to my hometown San Andres, Colombia
