http://www.google.com/profiles First login or create your google account. Second ,write something in the About me section. You can add your site link here.\
I already tried this, way back. I created few profiles but none is being crawled. Anyone here have success with this?
Yes, I have seen links from Google Profiles page in my Webmaster Tools panel, I'm not sure if Google really values those links!
THese are very old tricks, but we will appreciate your effort if you can tell us how you can get google to crawl and index these sites ?
I don't think that it has any impact, google pays any value to it..Because I haven't had any success!
Here's an example of a PR6 profile page > www.google.com/profiles/felicia.day But Matt Cutt's own profile is PR0 > www.google.com/profiles/115164202114242075433 @getbestproduct is not totally wrong, but to get a PR10 backlink from there we got to develop that page properly. you can see it from the above two examples, one of them developed her page another didn't. hence one is PR6 another is PR0.
Thanks for the correction. Now I know that pagerank applies to each page, NOT entire domains as I previously thought. (makes sense, though, based on its name). That makes SEO a little more challenging, it seems. btw I checked the PR of my profile pages and they all came back N/A (which I assume means pretty much "zero") So I guess this isn't a good strategy after all. Any other tricks like this that actually work?
Google Profiles shows PR7 for me too... anyhow, this is something very-very-very far away from a PR10 backlink...
PR7 is the domain, each individual profile page isn't PR7. That's a big difference and a difference which a lot of people don't seem to grasp.
