I don't see why I should explain any further, I just told my story and you blew it out of context.

    Moolah,

I see your frustration. I felt the same way when Google disabled my adwords account. Unfortunately their was no other game until Yahoo and Bing united and posed a real competition to google ads. Google became very arrogant and now looks like they have softened up a little. Well to get to point, Fiverr is softenning up fast as there are a massive number, as many as 83 fiverr like site.

As Rajalakshmi says, Fiverr is still the biggest and where you can get plenty of work. Well not true for all people. Remember you won the battle with them for disabling your account for no fault of your own. You are in their good favors and as a result, you are probably getting more work from that site now than you used to.

At the end of the day you cant get rich making $4 a gig. Id rather work half as hard and make $7 a gig and pay no fee at http://www.7freelance.com $5 is a small amount already and fiverr takes a whopping 20%. More than any freelance site out there. On top of that they have the audacity to shut down peoples account ruthlessly.

Thanks to people like Moolah, fiverr now pays even if your account it cancelled. So they say on the site. I am still out $10 and nothing to show for for the 2 gigs I bought, when they cancelled my account.

I think when the economy comes back again, 7 Freelance will become #1 site, because $7 is minimum wage, for crying out loud!

There are other places to gig and make twice the money for same amount of work, $7 at 7Freelance or $8 at some of the $10 gig sites.
Fiverr is how ever, a good place to buy gigs, because they are cheap. Best yet are places that dont charge a commission and the Fiverr gigs are only $4

Its a win win. customer gets 20% off on Fiverr gigs and we get paid instantly.

    http://www.freelance5.com

Sorry, I take it back. They just have a section for Four dollar gigs. Rest are $5. No fee taken. We get the Full Moolah!

I really hope these guys stay in business. I see that 7 Freelance is raising money for starving children on their site. I donated a few buck. Hope you all do, that are using the site for free.

Are they using 7Freelance site to further their cause? Interesting. Check it out!

It is good point edupoint. Fiverr has lots of Mid companies CEO around. If they are satisfied with your work, they will pour you projects.

Also there is no harm in trying other sites too.

When you look for Fiverr Alternative, just see what percent of the traffic is from US?

That is an indication of buyers (who are predominantly in U.S.)

    Here are Alexa Results
http://www.7freelance.com (71% of site visitors from U.S. per Alexa)
    http://www.zeerk.com (31% of site visitor)

btw is Zeerk still closed due to paypal issues, like 90% of gigsites?

    happened same things with me...

    I just hate fiverr..

I have bought more that 20gigs so far, and last week they decided to block my account..
I mean why?? i dint do anything.

then i raised the question to support and they replied back saying check terms and conditions. i replied saying if i have violated any terms then you should have warned me first ... and they replied saying sorry cannot do anything ...

And the best part - I opened another account and bought 1 gig from that account, turned out that they blocked my second account as well(today - 20/01/2011)..

Just hate fiverr now, worst Online company i have seen soo far ..
no manners to talk to customers, worst customer support and i think worst technology.

just blocking people without any reasons.

send out a email to fiverr support and ask them the reason for blocking .

Also if you dont do also , make a apologize and ask them to activate. THey will do it for sure.

Since they can make money only from it

    Hi guys,

when i tried to log into my fiverr account it says:

    User name: "########"

"This account is no longer active or was blocked"

why did you block my account if you did??? and if i did violate your rules, you should have informed me.
    looking forward for prompt reply.

    Hey mike,

I don't even know when did i violate your terms and service,
instead of blocking my account, you should have given me warning first and if i repeat it again then you could have blocked me.

so would appreciate if you can allow my account and let me know (things i am not supposed to do.)

    Cheers

Why doesnt Fiverr tell you which term and condition you violated? Why do they want us to guess!!!

Can you Imagine the US govt fining people and when asked why, would refer you to the constitution and the amendments?

and yet Fiverr exactly does that.

Only two Arrogant companies that do that. Google and Fiverr. Google is a demon. Fiverr is a company that runs its business per laws in Israel and not the United States of America.

Best way to screw Fiverr is to launch your own Fiverr clone like http://www.Goferr.com

Sorry buddy Fiverr doesnt work. At least for now. Each gig is $5. Fiverr takes a 20% cut on already a small amount of money.

On top of that they pay 30cents to PayPal. Whats left is 70cents.

After giving all the wonderful customer support they give, what are they left with? 30 cents?

How many gigs they have to sell to make a measely 1million dollars a year?

They have to sell about 3,000,000 gigs/yr. Pheeew!

1 Big Problem. Fiverr only has 100,000 unique visitors and 70% of these are sellers!!! Fiverr doesnt work for me, you and many people here. Fiverr doesnt work even for the owners.

Fiverr is also very insecure and paranoid. I dont blame them, living where they do.

If you buy a lot of gigs, they think may be you are out to scam them and they shut your account down.

My account has been shut 3 times (as a buyer) with 3 different accounts. I just dont have the time to request them and wait around only to be told.. go read the TOS by some 15 year old Israeli brat.

I bought over 70 gigs. I just needed my work done.

So far they have never paid me the unused portion of the money. They just kept it. Perhaps this is the other way they make money.

Instead of fighting with them I will be launching my own Fiverr clone like http://www.Outsourcerr.com

At 7Freelance I saw someone selling a clone just like this for $7

fiverr support does suck, I think they have placed a computer in a village that has never had electricity, or a computer before. You may get a reply if somone remembers!

I was a buyer and got banned as son as I tried to get a press release written to promote my clone site www.fivequid.com. I guess you cannot blame them. Just be careful if mentioning any othe micro job sites
