    Hello Friends,

I have some keyword rich domain names. (Only .net and .org).. These domain name keywords get monthly searches of over 100,000 searches globally and 60,000 searches alone in US.. I just your suggestions on how well these domain names sell and what is the price that I need to tag them?..

I already have loads of websites running so I cant get these domains up and running.. Thinking to sell them of.. Just need suggestions from you all..

    Thank You
    Regards
    The Hawk

You may try digitalpoint marketplace on domain section. Besides, you may also try bido, sedo etc.

I found your post and wanted to give you a hand, but quite frankly you don't provide sufficient information. Regardless of the extensions, there are domain names and domain names.... Another factor to consider, are the domains in demand and if so by whom (affluent buyers?).

Agreed, domain appraisal is highly speculative at best in most cases even when all factors are known. More information is needed. Are they exact match keyword domains? Age? Traffic? PR? Trademark concerns? Length?

I agree that domain name appraisals are no science. The bottom line is: the demand for the domain name; whether you're selling to the end user; and - UNFORTUNATELY - whether the end user can appreciate the value of the domain name.... (I'm currently sitting on a number of domain names which have been appraised as very valuable but get no interest for them at all.) My point being, domain name appraisal is neither objective nor binding. It's quite meaningless, really.

As far as I know .org and .net domains sell the same as .com does but then those are the runners up.

I beg to differ. Dot com are still considered more valuable.

NET's and ORG's do sell , however not the same as a COM. I guess for every 10 COM's I sell, I sell maybe one NET or ORG. I'm trying to liquidate most of my NET and ORG portfolio for this reason since the demand for COM's and value of COM's is easily tenfold compared to NET's and ORG's.

But anyways if you wish to try to sell your domains best places would be sedo.com, afternic.com, godaddy auctions, dnforum.com, namepros.com, domainstate.com, forums.digitalpoint.com, bido.com, bargaindomains.com and eBay.com.

In order for any of us to give a price tag to your domains I think we would actually need to know the name of your domains. Monthly searches of over 100,000 searches globally is not enough information I'm afraid.

I own about a 1,000 domain names and have gotten rid off all but 3 that are not .com. In my experience, they rarely have any resale value. (The 3 I'm keepig are quite old, 5 years and older.) If you're buying, avoid acquiring anything else but .com.

How did you get rid of them? Did you just give them away or you sold them? Selling 997 domains is an almighty task. Would you mind telling us how you did it?

Until I've seen your post, I didn't realize that my own post wasn't clear. I meant to say that I currently own about a 1,000 domain names. Only 3 of them are not .com. I sold or let expire all domain names that were not .com. The 3 I'm keeping (.us; .net; .info) I'm keeping only because of their age and their utility to me. I could only dream of selling a 1,000 of inferior domain names. Right now, my fine .com domain names are not exactly selling out. Sort of a slump in sales, you too?

The buyers market is really thin atm - also I think the fact that loads of mediocre domain names are being put for sale with Sedo, Afternic, etc at very ridiculously high prices have created a negative effect for the market as a whole - that has caused domains with a fair chance of selling not being seen or picked up by the potential buyers -

.net & .org names sell well, if you have QUALITY names but if you own crap, it ain't gonna sell, even if it's a .com

The problem for many people is they own utter crap, that's why it doesn't sell.
