You can use this free tool to estimate the value of a domain, dnscoop.com I just did a background check on this domain and it's not seven years old the domain was created May 07 2008 and it's estimated value is $0 due to no traffic and the page rank is 0 not 4. The domain is exactly 2 years 8 months and 27 days old. Sorry mate.
Strange thing, because I bought it about 2 years and 8 months ago from one mate. This domain has a history in web.archive.org from 2004 (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://jdshelp.org/ ). Other tools show valid PR = 4. So I guess your tools don't give the correct judgment on this domain. But tks for your review!
The price for sale depends on how many unique visitors enters your site, I'm not trying to be negative but I don't think it's worth much the website says that this domain get little to no traffic. It's like selling just the domain name pretty much I don't see a web page here if you can't find someone really interested in this domain then I'm guessing it would be worth regular domain price $11.95 unless you wanna buy host service for it and make something out of it and then try to sell it once you have a few visitors per day.
I have a 10 year domain. It has been inactive for most of its life, but that does not mean it is worth anything. Unless it is a hot domain name like sex.com then PR0, no backlinks, no stats, then the domain is worthless. Your domain could be 20 years old, but like i said above, if is has PR0, no links, no traffic, no history, then it would only be worth the cost of registration, and I would have to question that.... and domains are only worth twhat people are willing to pay.
Need to be cautious with tools that estimate domain value. I have a couple of blogs which were valued at $6 to $500 although I know perfectly well that these would be of 0 value in the present state. Most of the domain value estimation sites prod you to install their widgets or badges displaying your domain value. I am not a SEO expert but I am sure they would definitely be dereiving something out this free badge installation stuff. May be gain back links. Correct me guys.
No traffic + a domain name thats nothing out of the ordinary = worthless or near-worthless PR4 is good but if it doesn't translate to traffic then whats the point?
