What is internal linking? How can I do such thing? How would it help me in my link building? Thanks for the replies ... Thanks in advance.
An internal link allows you to link to another section on the same web page, so it basically scrolls the page up or down to the desired location The internal linking structure can: 1. Insure that your website gets properly spidered and that all pages are found by the search engines 2. Build the relevancy of a page to a keyword phrase 3. Increase the PageRank of an internal page
Does having many or too much internal links affect a site in its ranking in search engines like Google?
Internal linking is the process of making links from one of your web page to other web page and both pages exist in the same site. It will reduce your bounce rate.
Yes, too many internal links looks like a link farm and is not natural. I suggest keeping it under 100 internal links for any give pages.

Hey, Internal linking is the process to link one page to other pages in same site. It can deduce bounce rate and It's also important for page rank.
Internal linking is a good idea to promote your sites, since it linked to internal page. Link building is important on site promotion, while internal link is a important aspect in link building.
The process where by words or phrases within a web page are linked to other pages in the site. Internal links are considered important in SEO terms, as they are often spidered and displayed by Google.
Internal linking is the process of creating links from one web page to another web page within a web site. Internal Links can be created by using anchor tag in HTML code.
Internal linking is pointing links from one page of your website to another page within that same site. These links create paths for your viewers to travel from page to page and find what they are looking for. Internal linking is important for both your potential customers and the search engines. Search engines need to find these links in order to index your pages and list them in their search results pages. Your actual customers need to find these links so they can learn about your product and potentially make a purchase. It is important that these links are well-organized so your customers have a pleasant experience on your site. But in organizing, you don't want certain pages to be linked too far away from the homepage. That makes it difficult for search engine spiders to find and index them. Let me explain. If you have a rather large website, you don't want to put a link to every single one of your pages on the homepage. That wouldd be too much information for your customers to sort through and they may become overwhelmed and leave your site. But you also don't want your customers (or the search engines) to have to click more then 2 or 3 times to finally access a link to an important page. For example: If you have an electronic store that sells a broad range of products, you want to put links to product CATEGORIES on your homepage. For example, a link to TVs, Cameras and MP3 players. Once your viewer clicks on "Cameras," they should land on a page that describes the product category and offers links to specific PRODUCTS such as each model of Canon camera you offer, Sony cameras, Kodak...you get the picture. Then from each product page, you may wish to include links to product reviews. If you were to put a link to every category, every product and every review of each product directly on your homepage, it would certainly be overwhelming. However, when internal linking, try not to let any of your pages get much more than 2 or 3 clicks away from your homepage. (In the example above, the categories are 1 click away from the homepage, the products are 2 clicks away etc.) In the above example, the product reviews are placed in a very appropriate place for customers to find them when they are ready for them. But they are getting a bit far away from the homepage, making it more difficult for the search engines to spider them. This is where a sitemap becomes handy. Place a link to your sitemap somewhere on your homepage or in the footer of your website. The sitemap will include a link to every single page on your site, and can be arranged in "list" format. (You will have a subhead called "Products" with all products linked below it etc.)
According to google helpcenter "The internal links page lists a sample of pages on your site that have incoming links from other internal pages. The number of internal links pointing to a page is a signal to search engines about the relative importance of that page. If an important page does not appear in this list, or if a less important page has a relatively large number of internal links, you should consider reviewing your internal link structure. "
Thanks.... I am giving an example...If your about us page HAS 2 pr and you linking another page. Then the other page get benefits of about us page.
So if having too much internal links, then bots will not be able to read all of it? Right? Does it mean, the lesser the internal link a web page has (for example, 100 page or below) the faster bots could be able to crawl your site? And speaking of bounce rate, if my site is a portal site, then would every bounce rate means bad to it?
