How many back links a website/blog should have to obtain PR1 ? Is total backlink count is important or relative(niche) backlink count ? Please share your website/blogs backlink stats when it got PR1.

It's not really depending on a backlink count. It depends on related authority links. You can have 100 links from crap sites and you won't get PR1. Also you can have one link from a good site which will give you a pagerank.

i made a site with free sub domain in 2005 & put the word "Enter" over there .When you were going to click enter it was directing you to the website of a university. THen i hardly submitted that to autosubmission search engines. I left that site. That is still running & has a PR 2 .google only shows one backlink for that . No content,no backlinks , no directory submission just submission to some search engines and here you go. Hard to tell what it is

The PR and Outbound Links of the page that is linking to you are big factors in how much it affects PR. Also your domain age is an important factor too.

It doesn't depend upon the specific numbers. If you have quality backlinks then you can see increase in your pr

All depends on the PR of the site linking back to you and the number of outbound links on that site.

In terms of PR, it's better to get a link from PR2 website with 2 outbound links, then to get a link from a PR5 site with 10 outbound links. As the PR juice gets divided according to the number of outbound links.

But anyway, don't pay too much attention to PR when doing SEO. It won't help you much with SERPs.

The most important thing you can do is obtain links from high PR websites that are related to your niche, grow this steady and your PR will increase.

Just get a few high pr links and it doesn't really matter how many you will get.

Just 1 or 2 PR4 links to your site can get you PR on the next pr update. And that means you go from having 0 traffic to a trickle of traffic each day. It's always easier to build traffic one you have a little to start with. If you look carefully, you can get a quality backlinks from a pr4 sites for less than $10 per month.

i do not know, but at first i did not even know about the term backlink. It was few years ago. I do not think you could actually know how many backlinks you would need for upgrading to PR1. It is disclosed by Google.
