Hello, Im 13 in google.in ( india ) for a very competitive keyword but not in the TOP 1000 in google.com. The site is in English and server is located in US What can cause such a big difference ? Thank You
Google is sensitive on geographical factors on ranking sites. Better if you gather more backlinks from US-based sites or directories.
maximum times google provide rank on country basis, if your searching on google.co.uk, google.com.pk, google.co.in. it wil show result area wise. and google.com means all over the world.
I have never come across this situation before. I think you concentrated more in optimizing your site in google.co.in rather than google.com.
Google gives results accordingly to their recorded settings including geographic location. Better if you emphasis more on your link building and content that you target US and global.
Concentrate on building good backlinks. Also your keyword might be very competitive for the US but so i india
When you do link building/ comment posting, make sure to target google results under US. Use google.com/ncr when you search for news to post with.
May be the whole mass of the links pointing to your site are from indian websites? This may couse the problem.
