Chat Script

Greetings,

Appreciate if anyone can point me towards a reliable chat script, nothing facny just a simple one. Like user would see Support is Online and onclick a chat window opens and able to chat with me. A free one (or trial mode) would be great. As I would like to use for trial priod first to check if this chat option will boost my leads or not.
I searched on Google, I am checking these but just thought to get someone's expert opinion and recommandations.

why not use php and mysql post to a database and retreive from it and use a string so you can have multiple convos

 

I have used ProChatrooms. Its a stable and good chatting script that can be easily installed and used. Simple java chat like ParaChat is also good to use.

I thought I said I am not after a Fancy script. I just need a support chat system in a smaller scale.

That's a pro subject. I do not have much knowledge on server side script.

@joshuthomas, I did have a look at ProChatrooms. I feel it's bit much for my requirement and there is no trial even. I don't want to have rooms where user will be able to chat. I just want a support chat system something like HostGator offers but in a much smaller scale. It would be User/Users => Support (1 person) chat.
