Contest Long Term Designer Wanted - $10 Blog Logo Contest (72 Hours or Sooner)

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for participating in this contest.

Now onto the contest...

I run a very successful blog that you could check out in my sig below and within this blog there are several mini-blogs that pertain to some of my writers interests and I'm looking for someone to design logos for these mini-blogs from within the main site. These logos would appear whenever a mini-blog post has an entry.

For example, this contest is for our mini-blog called "The Speaker Box", so I'm looking for a logo with perhaps you guessed it, a Speaker Box and some edgy-type font. You can be creative.

The Speaker Box is a mini-blog on the site that deals with music related interviews and features and stuff like that.

And notice on the left hand column how they have "featured blogs" and with each of those featured blogs (The Capitolist, Deep Background, Daily Flotus, etc.) has a logo. That's what I'm going for with my site. TheUrbanTwist.com is my main site, but "The Speaker Box" will be one of the "featured blogs" kind of like how dailypolitcs has done with their blogs in the left column of their homepage.

I hope this makes sense.

The winner of this contest will immediately get 3 other similar jobs, totaling 4 in all and hopefully many more to come as new blogs may be added. We're always in need of graphics of banners and headers and stuff like that for promotions and such that we may throw, so if all goes well, this could be a long partnership.

I like the direction that you're going in, but I was looking for more of a logo type graphic and wouldn't prefer for the speaker to be in the background. You could put the speaker off to the side in line with the text if you like. And I like the guy's silhoette, but reminds me too much of Run DMC...when ppl see this blog column, don't want for them to think of them first.

I like yours the best so far. Can you just add the word "The" to it and use an old school speaker such as in this image here http://kingjamie.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/cool-speaker.jpg and can you add a little color to it to spice it up? I'm not particular with the colors, just think that it could use a touch of some.

 

I like yours as well but I'm kind of feeling turtlepods at the moment. I was looking for an old school speaker box instead of the circle that yours and the others have so far.

I really like yours as well...I'm still waiting to hear back from turtlepod, but yours in its present state is the leader til I see Turtlepod's revision. Can you add a little color to make it stand out a bit and give the speaker the illusion that sound is coming from it?
