well, seems, that many powerful directories even like DirBull.com down from PR8 to PR6, my site down from PR 6 to PR 5, etc. working , working on backlinks, and there is no end of it. Non stop process
Lets hope so, some say this update will take a couple of day even week to end. So we might get lucky yet...
After 292 days. Google indeed updated their pagerank on the 20th of January. It is unclear why it took so long and what has changed in the way the measure pagerank.
Seems like a strange update this time. 27 of my websites have no change. And the only website i dont actively promote got pagerank.
I started getting a higher CPC on some of my sites a couple of weeks ago, haven't noticed any PR changes yet though.
From what I have seen, no page created after the caffeine update has had a PageRank update. If your site/page has had a PageRank update and was created after June 2010, please confirm it here.
In Google's defense, 2010 was a weird year for them, and especially for the search algorithm. Just the disruption that Caffeine alone caused was enough to put any company off its game. Thrown in some of the stuff like trying to tamp down SERP boosts from negative links, and this probably was one of the less fun years to be an engineer at Google.
I noticed today the page ranking of one of my sites go up 3 points. Makes sense I was waiting for this update! I hope it doesn't change back anytime soon. -Brian
