Hi all, I have heard that pinging search engines and blog search engines can bring you significant traffic, but I could not find any decent list of services I should ping. What ping-list do you use for your blogs? I know there is pingomatic but I have read posts of bloggers who claim to ping up to 200 sites... Also does it make sense to ping search engines when a new site appears on my domain? The Ping functionality is built in in WordPress, but would it make any sense to build my own pinger script and use it whenever I add a new page? Does anyone of you are already doing this?
that's not true. i mean it can be but not because you ping it just because it helps you to get indexed and people will find you in SE's but that's it. pingler.com is another good one
Well I just want to have some gates opened for the traffic it might come... and what I need now is a list of services to ping; not collectors like pingomatic and pingler. By the way they say pingomatic happens to ping the same service twice and thus it could get banned.. I am not sure if this is true.
