LoL you are dead wrong mate . Filesonic could have been the best Filehost nowadays but they fckd it up. Yes they make more money by forcing users to upgrade to premium for link above 400mb but in the long run it won't work.

Fileserve & Filesonic started at the same time & i have been using them since the beginning . Fileserve is 10x ahead of filesonic now

But Filesonic is trying too hard to make a quick buck than users satisfaction. They give great promos + buy ads & sticky on many forums
Kind of ''bribe'' uploaders to use filesonic which is great but you also have to care for downloaders :S

Else you are going to have e.g : 100 uploaders & 2-3 downloaders

Do you know how many users complained about :

1. The 400mb download limits
2. Many users also had problems downloading from filesonic

The main reason why sharingmatrix became unpopular was the major bugs it had at the time . Hopefully its much better now

Ever wonder how fileserve became so popular without having to do so much marketing ? Well they offer great service for downloaders - Both Premium & Free

 

viruz99, normally even if filesonic give permission for free files for 1 gb , I will split my movies to 400 mb or bigger and not smaller.
If I'm classic owner or PPD, I will need more download for free,

for example, 4500 mb = 17 files as 251 and 12 files as 400 mb

if I accept all downloaders are GROUP B, I will earn 17 x 0.019$ = 0.323$ 12x0.023$ = 0.276$ , %15 more money

but another problem is the more files you get, the more files can be deleted before you complete all of them.

I will prefer PPD and do not care downloads , will share rare materials and follow SALES only....

 

If you want to peoples buy premium account

#1 rule, check your files in GOOGLE and go back 3-4 pages back and if they are OPTIONAL mirrors, u dont have chance to sell premium sales
#2 rule, find rare materials, not the 2011 movies, find BOXES, SERIES, DIFFERENT and RARE materials even if Blueray or not and use rule # 1 for them
#3 rule, if u share games, ps3 games are not very popular cause of UPDATE of PS3 machines and most of games may not work properly,
#4 rules, I do not have any idea about XXX, but as I see, #1 subject is AMATEUR movies or HENTAI type GAMES or MOVIES, I had shared
last year and I had obtained 35.000 downloads in 1 month (with 100 hentai movie) , means 1100-1200 download per day.

Free or premium user?

 

I don't believe the 400mb limit is a big deal for people, and they should expect to pay for files above that size. Fileserve has pulled ahead due to the fact their backend was better to start with and also they didn't swap names - that didn't help filesonic either. However i think that now there is not much to choose between the two in functionality from an uploaders perspective and filesonic is actually growing rather quickly right now. You need to cut a balance between what is good for the downloader and what is good for the profit margin of the company. I think filesonic is correct to keep the 400mb limit. I do not however think lifetime membership is the way to go for longterm profits for them - i could be wrong. I expect filesonic and fileserve to end up the dominant filesharing services. Keeping the uploaders happy is actually just as important as keeping the downloaders happy, the best and most desirable hosted data will dictate who has the most downloaders.

I have tried most of them out with quite a lot of traffic and filesonic/fileserve and both are well worth using.

NOTE/QUESTION TO HISH.

Everytime there is a promo i am forced to come to the board and ask you to put the claim in manually since there is some bug that stops me from being able to claim it in the usual way. I have tried with all browsers and from different computers. I do not wish to keep trying to bug you on this board to do it manually, is there anything that can be done? I have a hunch that it could be because my log in email on filesonic is not the pay email i have registered with paypal or alertpay. Please let me know if anyone else is having this issue and what can be done. thanks.
