Well, you didn't try that? It's easy to copy someone's Adsense code then add it to your site. Right click -> View source can do the trick.

Nope at all. There is a feature in Adsense that allows you to configure which sites should have Adsense displayed. I just experience it after got banned

Go to AdSense Setup > Allowed sites. Check the option: Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account. In the list below it, add your websites and save list. Thus, anyone else using your account cannot get you banned. You can also see which unknown sites are showing your ads. Find them, knock the hosting provider and get the site reported :)

What would the purpose be of copying someone else's adsense code? I missed the boat on that one.

Usually some evil web designers or Blog theme testers do such untoward acts. Sometimes they need to fill up ad space in the web layout for displaying their themes correctly for demo purpose for visitors. They don't want to put their own publisher iD into risk, so they copy other people's pub ids. So if their competitors or rivals try click bombing, someone else gets hurt. Sometimes copying someone else's adsense code can be intentional foul play to harm that person. Reasons can be many.

Yes, now I undestand the reasons, it is an evil thing to do, though..

Unbelievable...thanks Nefertiti for the insight... I feel incredulously naive for not realizing that things like this happen, but online or offline, some people always have pernicious intent. Unfortunate but true.

Mostly they reject appeals, you should try another domain.
