I use dreamweaver and notepad. Dreamweaver auto-fills a lot of tags, which can make writing html much faster. Ultra edit is pretty good as well, and is much cheaper than DW.
I use Dreamweaver here too (in code mode), but it has the worst FTP setup of anything I've ever used. Over multiple installs, and a couple of years - it just keeps getting worse. Totally locks up sometimes, 99% CPU use - I wish Macromedia, or Adobe, or whoever they are now, would make a streamlined 'code only' version DW. Kinda of like what HomeSite used to be, before Macromedia bloated it up. I sometimes use jEdit too, which has good built in FTP.
I use DreamWeaver as well. Before that, I used notepad. I still use notepad on occassion, but I love DW.
I find that younger kids all say they used notepad and older more experienced people use dreamweaver. Not sure if that's correct at all just what I've seen. I personally use dreamweaver. It auto ends tags for you, it will let you know when something isn't right like <strong><u>Word</strong></u> like that will look ok in the browser but it isn't 100% correct. Just the little things mean a lot lol.
Same here - it has a few buggy issues but nothing that isn't fixable ....... unless you're making a 3,500 page website (that would be a drag)
