Thesis question

I would contact DIY themes but can't seem to contact them unless I actually buy the theme...

Anyway, if I buy a developer licence can I make websites and resell them to my clients or do I have to pay $38/40? Read something about having to give them something which defeats the point of a developer licence imo. :S

    Can anyone clarify? Thanks

I have asked this exact same question in DIYthemes forum a while ago, before i apply my service page. Yes, you will have to buy "client option" for $40 (around this price) for ONE client's website. The downside, he can't access support forum and update the files, so you have to deal with him..

That's one of the really crappy things about the Thesis license. I have a few developers licenses from some very good theme companies and once you pay for the license, it is almost always for unlimited use.
Its one of the reasons that I don't use thesis.

Yes buddy, you are right! This is one reason that would let you down while purchasing. For example - for elegant themes, the themes are excellent and a developer package gives usage of the theme for unlimited times on your client websites.

But Thesis framework is so sound, if you emphasize on SEO much then i guess the extra bucks are really worth it (in my experience)
    warm regards

Yeah think I'm gonna go with woothemes to start with! Is it worth the extra $$$ for the enterprise version(with .psd's)?

I may get it one day just because I buy a lot of themes and it does look interesting. But if the license was right, I would have purchased it a long time ago. Now, it's not a priority. I can SEO any decently coded theme, I don't need a specialized back end to do it, as most developers don't either. That's what's so confusing about how they have the license set up.

Always been happy with Woo Themes. The developers license has been money well spent.

When you deploy Thesis on client sites, you do have to buy a client site option. It's better that way, though. While they may not gain access to the forums, you can refer them to the free Thesis documentation and Thesis blog.
