Which Platform?

This is only my second thread, my first thread regarding my blog http://booksale101.blogspot.com/ Thanks for all the helpful advice.

Now I need your opinion on this matter .

If I'm to create a blog to monetize it , given that I don't have the ability to by a domain and hosting. What would be your good advice?

Can you suggest a place where I can get free domain name and hosting?

Can you suggest a blogging platform which would allow me to put ads like adsense and infolinks?

I know that blogger will allow adsense, but i don't know if they will also allow infolinks.
I don't also like the idea of WP that they still get 50/50 split on the ads revenue generated on the free hosted blogs.

What can you advice? Thank you in advance and sorry to keep this long.

If you want to monetize a blog, it's WAYYYY better to host your own blog. Most hosting companies give you a free domain name just for starting a hosting account. The problem with free blog platforms, is they can delete your blog without any notice, and you're actually just building links to THEIR site. Why not start your own, and keep all of your hard work for yourself? You'll make a TON more money over the long run.

If you want to waste your time and effort, go with Blogger or the WordPress.com. If you want to be serious about making money, then shell out the $99 a year for hosting & domain registration, install a blogging platform that you have complete control over. Using the free blogs limit what you can do, and what type of advertising (if they allow it at all) onto their servers.

If you have to go with a free blogging platform, I would recommend WordPress.com over Blogger. Get a domain name and forward it to your free blog. Start writing content, build readership, and see if you can make a go of it. Then when the time is write, shell out a little up front money, migrate the blog over to your new self-hosted WordPress and start slipping in your AdSense, Amazon Affiliate, eBay affiliate advertising.

Really? How awesome is it? You must have low expectations to make a statement like that.

    And, who is Lars?

In this context, OP would be Lars.

Blogger is simple and ready to go. Plus the new design options are a big improvement. You can give it a custom domain. With some simple customizations, you can add open graph and other features. However, it's the most easy and efficient CMS. Plus it's linked to your Google account, which you should always be signed into anyway for Email and whatnot. So, when you want to make a post, blogger.com, no trouble. With WordPress, you have to go to blog.com/wp-admin and sign in each time. Slows down the process. Also, Adsense is easily added to Blogger blogs without needing to create the ad first in Adsense's ad editor.

If you just want to blog, go with Blogger. It has a Blogger directory that people actually use to discover new blogs. It has its drawbacks, and depending on what you need, other platforms may be required. But Blogger is awesome, so do it to it, Lars.

There are some web hosts who offer a free domain with the purchase of one of their hosting plans. If your looking for good speeds and uptime, I would try to get paid hosting.

if free hosted blog, I prefer blogger because you can monetize it, but free hosted wordpress blog can't. Kontera (ad network similar to infolinks) gives ads to blogspot, so i think infolinks also give, go to infolinks site and ask about this.
If you need free hosting, go to byethost and open a free hosting account, and get a free domain from co.cc, all you can do without spending money.. Then develop a wordpress blog.

Your blog is more on selling item / product from other site.So you don't need much resource on your website. How about go to 000webhost any free hosting which available .Buy your own domain .you can find low cost domain at digitalpoint forum .
For me is not good to have co.cc domain if you want to sell something and establish yourself as a marketer.

But if your still don't have money to buy domain just stick to blogspot.

*you can create wonders with blogspot using a bit of your skill and imagination....

If you'll go for free hosting, go for blogspot; it is much easier to ad adsense code there. But, if you'll choose self hosting one, go for wordpress.
