Is there a way to make the remoteupload from hotfile to fileserve work?
I am moving all file from there to fileserve, but it's a pain in the ass.
    Anyone try to do that?

Yes but it won't and we won't be able to please everyone from A-Z. It is how it is.

For search it will be listed of name descending and not by date. For entering file manager it will be Date descending per default. I think that's a good compromise for people.

    Thanks in advance.

And that's ok.. i'm not asking to remember always... but why when you move/delete a file you don't sort like it was? return to the same folder is only half the work.. the file manager should return to the previous state..

I don't want to change the default sort method.. I want that if i move a file your file manager bring me back in the previous state.. i don't think it's too much to ask... bring back to the same folder is only half of the state...
If you use ajax/javascript instead of reloading page you solve this problem and others... but you don't want to (even if the files are loaded by javascript also now)...
At least bring me back in the previous state..
There is no logic in moving a file and return in the same folder but find all messed up...
Iif you don't start to really improve your file manager it will always be worse than others... and don't reply about your great service.. we know... but file manager will be always worse.. because other hosts didn't choose between speed and functionality.. they work hard to have both.. Period.

Our file manager is power.com...In other words it's uber-banging compared to all other services, especially with the size we hold. You didn't have same options/data/information for the top 3 hosts (MU, RS, HF), so this is the best that will be produced by a major host. As long as our file manager is better than those golden-3, we're happy.

Our servers are almost on par with the golden-3... It's easy to give you a million fancy graphics/data-loading features when you're the size of a peanut. It gets harder to manage when you're the same magnitude as us or bigger.

This could be an excuse about the speed but not about the features... you can add A LOT of features without changing the sorting/editing/loading methods so without speed lost...And to pass the file manager to an ajax-based didn't require at all more resources... the same thing for bring back the page how it was... or at least sort if i click on the name by A-Z and not z-a that nobody use...
and about the size thing it's partially true.. because if you increase in size you also have to increase the power of your system... More difficult to handle but you also can do more investments because you earn more and you have more potentiality..
Ah btw rapidshare file manager is actually very good since they renew the website...a lot better than yours... it's the service that is awful now...

cause RApidshare does not give money anymore and people does not share the most popular files there. Their servers are not overloaded.
They take money every step you did and breath you take in rapidshare... They are the biggest of the moneylover and leecher company.
I can not forget that I had lost 1300 euro in my account when they stopped their project at one night. They always SUCKS

@ phate89: You're free to move out here and show your skills to our techs and prove them wrong :) Not saying you're wrong, but this is how it is going to be from now on until they decide to totally revamp/do something that will change the way it works. I'm not a programmer, I just listen in.

I know how create and manage a website and a webservicde but nothing compared to your site for sure... But everybody can tell (even your techs) that ajax did not increase the load of the system... it even cut the traffic cause you have to reload the fixed elements of the page only the first time you load the page... And it's where all the websites are going to (and your file-manager use already ajax.. but only to load the list of files when the page is loaded)

@ pocs: Coming today I believe. Techs working on adding it.

@ wuhugm: Retried other links? Some usernames are simply just banned from remote uploading to FS. Don't know how to address it.

It's working now :D same links

But according to your statement, are you perhaps implementing a policy to specifically ban users from remote uploading?
